Afternoon,
Welcome to all the newbies!
I am finding it very hard to be motivated to exercise since last week. I hate exercise!!! I have been trying to walk for 30 mins every day at least but have even given that up now. Trouble is, if I don't exersice I don't lose weight and then get depressed and snack on sweets! Not going near the scales this week!
B- muesli and rice milk
L- Salad, and 2 rice crackers with cheese.
D- HM veg and chickpea curry, couple of scoops of HM icecream
Snacks, apple, pear, 2 bits of dark chocolate, rice cakesSummer weightloss challenge

Morning all
Had a sneak wi this morning, have only put on .2lb. Seems Italian food is good for me. Usually have the scales switched to record just st and lb but wanted to see exactly how much I'd put on. Can't say I'm disappointed with my gain
, just hope it doesn't go up any more between now and tomorrow!
Sparrer – that’s not surprising news, I have read that a traditional Italian diet is a really healthy way of eating and they have the lowest obesity rate in the EU. I fell in love with “real” Italian food during holidays in the early 80’s. At that time I found the downside of hotel meals was that chips were served with practically every meal, I’m not a great lover of chips and usually left mine, the manager asked “why (shrug) the English always want chips” – I said I’m Scottish and prefer vegetables, next evening we were served Peperonata - I loved it but two thirds of the dining room didn’t. Since then and several more visits, I’ve made quite a few Italian dishes for friends and some have been disappointed because I’ve followed Italian principles especially with pasta, of having pasta with a sauce, rather than sauce with pasta, (recipes for bolognaise serving 6 use ½lb of mince) - I just think the Italians see pasta as a food group where as some seem to think it’s an accompaniment.I am eating too much again. Not just too much food but too many snacks and other rubbish.
Came on to confess... but now I want a cheese and carrot sandwich!
:rotfl::rotfl: Me too... a friend came round with some news that called for a celebration and a couple of G&T's along with a few nibbles - so fingers crossed I haven't done too much damagewe'll see tomorrow.

Please could I join in? I have been reducing my weight in a sensible manner since the end of January and up until last Friday had lost 22lb. I seem to be able to lose 2lb consistently and still have about three stone to lose so I would like to go for 24 pounds over the 14 weeks please. After that it will get harder the closer I get to the goal weight.
I work from home and sit at a computer all day so during the winter I find exercise pretty impossible and don't like going out in the evening in bad weather. Now the lighter evenings are here I intend to make an effort to go swimming and walking once I can get a bit of confidence.
Food-wise I have hardly eaten any meat since I started and have cut out alcohol for the duration. I just cook for myself most of the time so it is much easier than having the family around who want instant gratification when it comes to opening a cupboard or fridge door. They always complain I have nothing to eat but what they mean is I don't have anything snacky apart from fruit.
Some of my clothes are already too big for me and my bra is on the tightest setting so it won't be long before I have to go and get measured for more.

Yummy - me too xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

Thanks N2BT, it has been very stressful. The new cat just didn't want to accept life with 2 other cats. Luckily, my neighbours 2 doors away have taken him in - no cats/no children. It will be the perfect home for him. I spied on him through their kitchen window tonight, and he was tucked up asleep on a chair. Already looks more relaxed in 24 hrs then he ever did at mine. I'm so glad for him and me/my cats - we're all much happier tonight, I think!. Not sure what will happen if they all meet up outside though.....:(
I also look to have shifted a whole pound today, so fingers crossed for WI tomorrow :T
I managed to fit in a walk at lunchtime between raindrops, and hope to do the same again tomorrow.
Tomorrow's plan -
Breakfast - hm muesli
Lunch - cheese savoury sandwich (using up some of the grated cheese defrosted to go on my dinner tonight..I would normally have dumped the whole lot on my dinner, so am being very restrained at the moment) and possibly some crisps (It's Friday...:rotfl:)
Dinner - hm pizza from the freezer and salad
Exercise - hopefully a walk at lunchtime
Treats - well it's Friday and struggling through to the end of the week has to be celebrated, so a glass of wine is likely to be consumed (largish...:rotfl:)
Hope you're all doing well. Sweet dreams of weight loss for tomorrow :A
LB xx
ETA - wish I'd read the thread before making my sandwich...I too fancy a cheese and carrot sarnie!0 -
Evening All,
It's my evening for babysitting for DGD so I have had a busy hour or so sorting out toys, generally tidying up and putting the bins out rather than just sitting. I also can't be tempted to nibble which is even better. DH and I went out to our favourite pub today where we get 2 courses and a coffee for a fiver so I succumbed to pudding. However, I was so full I didn't need an evening meal as such so should be ok calorie wise.
B: Poached egg on toast
L: Steak, chips, onion rings, peas and salad. Crunchie bar cheesecake with icecream.
T: Cereal bar
Exercise: 1 mile walk.

Hi I have real problems in the evening I have started going to gym after work or doing an exercise DVD then having a later dinner so less opportunity for snacks. I decided that treats are for weekends only so no temptation in the week HTH xJBFF # 20 NSD 12/25
