Would anyone mind if I joined in here?

This time last year I weighed 133kg (5'5"), split from my ex, and joined slimming world.

I lost about 30kilos between October and January :j, then STS until I gave up and left SW in March :(.

I've stayed about the same since (between 106-101KG) and need a kick to shift the next 30Kilos (aiming to stop at between 70-80KG). Today 104.6kg

To get things started, I'm aiming to cook 'proper' food, following the idea of 1/3 fruit and veg as outlined by SW, but not having 'unlimited' food - rather 3 meals a day and fruit for snacks. I never liked the idea of mugshots and muller light being 'free', so I'll avoid things like that unless they're part of a meal.

I'm also considering two fast days a week (at least for a couple of weeks) to see if it has any effect. Probably monday and wednesday. Only because people at work rave about fasting and - while I wouldn't intend to keep it up long term - it might be a good kickstarter.

And I want to make a note of when I go to bed/ get up, because I'm fairly sure that i do much better when i'm getting 8 hours.

longer term goals - I want to get back into making my own yogurt; want to get in the habit of eating at set times; and want to get back into running  slowly...

Welcome to the thread, the more the merrier :D, are you also wanting to join the challenge?

    Hi everyone

Back on the diet wagon today! Although I have a dilemma I made a rum and chocolate cake yesterday which I took round MIL she then sent me and OH back home with 1 slice each. Now this was a very nice cake and it did take a lot of effort to make soooooooo Im thinking about eating my slice

Am filling in MFP so might put it in there and then cry over how many calories it is!

    Today:
B: 40g porridge made 1/2 water 1/2 skimmed milk, banana, blueberries
S: LF greek yog, mandarin slices, 20g bran flakes, Herbal sweet
L: HM veg soup (very nice if I do say so myself) 2 oat cakes, 2 satsumas
S: red grapes, have got another oatcake if desperate
T: Chicken protuons (skin removed) rice and jacket potato with lf cheese triangle
    S: May that cake!!!!

Am going to book myself in doctors as im constantly tired even after not drinking for 4 weeks and getting a good nights sleep every night im wondering if im iron deficient or something

    Have a good day all

    Welcome NewShadow :)

B - spicy porridge - I make it with 1 mug porridge oats, 4 mugs boiling water from the kettle. Put into a large pan, add dried fruit (mixed fruit, chopped apricots, dates etc.,) and a level teasp mixed spice. Bring to the boil, turn very low and simmer for about an hour. I stir it often so it never sticks to the pan. Makes enough for 6 good bowls, so lasts me best part of a week. Can be frozen. I don't add sugar, syrup or whatever as the fruit and spice makes it plenty sweet enough.
L - bowl of hm veg & cheese soup
    D - egg on toast
S - 4 mini chocolates (so far :o) banana, plums

Have a good rest of the day, the sun is out here :)

    Evening all,

Yes please to the challenge. I need something to get me started...

    Today looked like:

B - Oats 35g, dried fruit 10g, cinnamon, sweetener, water, 80g blueberries, banana (c.310 cals)
L - 2 boiled eggs, 150g couscous, pear, beetroot, gherkin, muller light, 100g cottage cheese, 2 scan bran (c.555 cals)
D - not decided yet, but likely veg chilli or beef stew (both about 300 cal)
    S - Orange Options Hotchoc (22g = 78 cals)
That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

House Bought July 2020 - 19 years 0 months remaining on term
Next Step: Bathroom renovation booked for January 2021
Goal: Keep the bigger picture in mind...

ha ha Knit Witch, I was hoping you wouldn't notice my +2lbs.
Thanks for keeping me accountable...I think :rotfl:

Must get rid of those grumpy faces.

Not done too badly today, finished at just over 1400 cals (and that includes the 4 chocolates that jumped out of the wardrobe, trotted down the stairs and somehow ended up in my mouth :o)

Work messed me around today so spent the morning at home getting lots of jobs done, and walked to the shops for 40 minutes...easing myself in gently, hip was aching!
I'm on a mission to get all those annoying jobs around the house done before christmas, sick of seeing them on my "to do" list.

If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?

Please can I be removed from the challenge? I'm not in the right frame of mind at the moment.
