Would anyone mind if I joined in here?

This time last year I weighed 133kg (5'5"), split from my ex, and joined slimming world.

I lost about 30kilos between October and January :j, then STS until I gave up and left SW in March :(.

I've stayed about the same since (between 106-101KG) and need a kick to shift the next 30Kilos (aiming to stop at between 70-80KG). Today 104.6kg

To get things started, I'm aiming to cook 'proper' food, following the idea of 1/3 fruit and veg as outlined by SW, but not having 'unlimited' food - rather 3 meals a day and fruit for snacks. I never liked the idea of mugshots and muller light being 'free', so I'll avoid things like that unless they're part of a meal.

I'm also considering two fast days a week (at least for a couple of weeks) to see if it has any effect. Probably monday and wednesday. Only because people at work rave about fasting and - while I wouldn't intend to keep it up long term - it might be a good kickstarter.

And I want to make a note of when I go to bed/ get up, because I'm fairly sure that i do much better when i'm getting 8 hours.

longer term goals - I want to get back into making my own yogurt; want to get in the habit of eating at set times; and want to get back into running  slowly...
That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

House Bought July 2020 - 19 years 0 months remaining on term
Next Step: Bathroom renovation booked for January 2021
Goal: Keep the bigger picture in mind...

Hi Lynnejk - Is there a recipe for spicy porridge somewhere? I have mine with cinnamon and blueberries, but would always be interested in alternatives :D

    Hi everyone
apologies for disappearing from the thread and not weighing in. Have just had so much !!!! stuff going on that dieting fell right off the bottom of my priorities list. A bad sign as it shows I still resort to not eating or eating the wrong stuff when things get mega stressful, obviously haven't learned as much as I hoped I had!

I've not been weighing myself, but am sure I've put on a few pounds.
I would really like to get it back under control before christmas, but finding it very hard to think about dieting again. The only thing I've used my kitchen scales for is making cakes :o
Will do my best to get back into it for the next few weeks.

Having my BP checked this week (routine) and am hoping the weight I've lost so far will mean it will be fine.

Another STS for me this week. I've had a reasonable week, being under my calorie goal every day from Monday to Thursday, then came the weekend and the diet went to hell in a hand basket again, lol! Today has been the worst, as we went to the Tower of London with MIL to see the poppies again, and went to mcd's for lunch, so I am already over my goal for today, even after I've added the exercise from the walking we did! I really must try harder if I'm to reach my goal by Christmas.

I just make my porridge with milk then add 1/2 teaspoon each nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger and golden syrup and a dash of cream and then stir it all in - tastes very yummy :)

Plucked up the nerve to stand on the scales this morning, for the first time in over a month...I've put on 2 lbs.

So I'm planning to get back to mfp, and think about what I'm eating.
I weighed my muesli this morning, it's really heavy stuff :rotfl: I deliberately use a small plate, but even so, it doesn't look much!

Will make the effort to go for a walk today, I think the weather may be nice which helps.

Anyone want a large box of chocolates, still three quarters full? :o
That was a really silly purchase, now "hidden" in the wardrobe. If I want one I have to walk upstairs.
