  • Hello fellow slimmers. My day so far has been 50% carbs according to my f*tness app. Am trying to cut down on them but was craving toast and marmite for breakfast :o
B 2 granary toast, butter marmite
L 2 gran toast, 1 egg, b.beans, yog strawbs and kiwi.
T not sure, not many cals left so a creative salad with boiled spuds I think and will crack open the beetroot I pickled last month.
If I take the dog for another brisk walk the app will give me a few more calories to play with :p
Total weight lost 6.5/73lbs starting yet again. Afds August 10/15. /8 Sept.

Hello all, been doing well today, my neighbour lent me her booklets from slimming world so I could get some inspiration. I had done WW years ago and wasn't very impressed with it as it didn't encourage good habits (I hear it's improved) but SW seems a lot better. If I can only get into the habit of filling a third of my plate with veg I will be doing well (easy with a roast, not so easy with sausage and chips!). Anyway, I know this is Old Style weight loss, but I'm not going to classes or getting too involved with the SW thing, just using some of the methods to keep my on track,
    Today went like this

Breakfast - banana and an apple, followed by one slice of brown toast with two scrambled eggs (no butter!)
Lunch - Leek and red pepper omelette (well, it turned out like an egg hash!) with beans and cheese (a measured portion, rather than a handful!)
Dinner - Roast chicken, a small baked potato, roast parsnips and butternut squash, carrots and broccoli, gravy.
Two small pieces of dark chocolate and a cup of tea with a dash of milk.
Other drinks were water and black coffee.

Feel pretty good about that, at least 7 or 8 of my portions of fruit and veg there. Tomorrow will be a lot harder as I have work, school run, appointment for my son and a mad rush home... kids will have school dinner though so I'll make sandwiches for them to have in the car and I'll try to make myself something sensible... I can eat at work but they make everything very rich and fattening for the residents!

  • Hi everyone

Welcome to the newbies and well done on everybody who lost weight!

Weekend turned out to be very busy so been awl cause of that. Have a gain of 1.3 lbs to report... No surprise after that weekend... The party on Saturday was great, especially foodwise... Not dieat-wise though...And then spent Sunday having another party with left over cake at my parents place...

Day today has been absolutely silly, so many annoying people, could easily have filled a rocket with people to send to space so that they can't go on my nerves any longer...

    Todays plan
    B bread on the go
L gnocchi with mustard sauce, chicken and veg
D pasta with veg and cheese
S 4 or 5 mandarines (lost counter), Kinder Bueno
Drinks three cups of tea, 1.5 liters of water

    Have a nice evening!
