  • Hi everyone

Wow, so much to catch up from the weekend!

Well done on everybody who lost weight!

Caterina, I get the impression that you know very well which food is good for you and which not. Coudln't you put together your own plan somehow?
When I first started losing weight I had a cookbook which said that each meal should be 50% fruit/veg, 25% carbs and 25% proteins and that really worked well for me for quite a while as it really put up my intake on good things and made me eat less carbs and so on.

proserpina, I wish my weekendds would feel like they last forever... Mine are "Friday evening, wow, a long weekend ahead" and then bang "Sunday, 11 pm, need to go to bed!"

I had a very unexpected loss of 3 1/4 lbs! But I know the drill, within the first two or three weeks of being back on track I normaly have one or two very big losses and then a few sts to follow. So next week might be a different story.

    Plan for today
    B porridge, apple
L shepherds pie with loads of veggies (peas and carrots, celeriac in the mash)
    D fried rice
    S cookies, 3 mandarines
drinks 1.5 liters of water and will now cook a big pot of tea

Excercise for today will be knitting :D I started the front of a pillow case on Saturday evening and when I woke up yesterday at four and couldn't go back to sleep I got up and went on knitting and almost managed to finish it yesterday. So plan for today is finishing it and getting a good start into the other side.

    Have a nice evening everyone!

Lynne lemon and ginger tea is simply a grating of ginger - as much or as little as you like, I like it quite spicy - into a mug, a slice of lemon and boiling water poured over. Some add honey but I don't like it much and prefer drinks without the sweetness.

    B - missed,decorator arrived at 7.50am
L - grilled bacon and rf cheese in a wm roll
    D - as lunch
S - bowl rf ice cream
No E as I can't breathe with all the paint about. Will have to go out tomorrow as he starts on the gloss, he's bought low odour but still not good with copd :(

Have a good rest of the evening :)

To be fair most of my weekends are as you described, this one was the exception to the rule. One day into the new week and already wishing for Friday.

Well done on the loss, that is smashing :T

Sorry you not coping too well with the paint sparrer and hope you manage to get out for some air. Maybe you could go to the library and read the papers if it's inclement.

    Hey everyone

I seem to be in a state of hunger just lately! I had 3 rich tea biscuits last night rather than the 2 I said id have! Anyway by the time I got into bed last night my belly was rumbling and to add insult to injury I was talking to OH last night in bed and he said have you brushed your teeth? I said of course why? Oh he said its just your mouth smells like a bin :eek: Im hoping it was because I was hungry and I don't just have general 'bin breath' :o

    Today:
B: 2 seeded toast with butter, 2 boiled eggs
S: 1 malted milk biscuit (got to stop this!) lf greek yog, blueberries, sprinkle of bran flakes
L: Ham salad sandwich with lf cheese triangle on seeded, carrot sticks and hummus*
S: Red grapes (also I still have cereal bar that I list every day but never eat lol)
T: Round OH moms for tea so probably a mountain of food

    * I was in Tesco the other day and was looking at their lf hummus and compared it to their value brand hommus which was 20p cheaper and a bigger pot. The value range was actually lower in cals and fat than the 'low fat' one! Keep your eyes peeled for these tricks

Would have been an excellent idea lynne except that our little library was flooded out in the summer and the adult section is squeezed into the tiny Conservative club meeting room. The local junior school has the children's library in part of their hall for the time being, we compromise well out here in the sticks ;)

    B - banana
L - bacon and cheese hm roll
D - salmon pasta and green salad
S - chocolate suggestive, 2 scoops ice cream
