Can I join this please? I will be aiming to lose 10lbs by the 1st December (this may sound a lot but the first week or 2 I usually lose a bit more).

    Thanks!

No problem pablakeman, if you are joining the challenge then it actually runs until just before Yule (another 8 weekends :D - just to panic you all :rotfl:)

Yay - 0.5lb off for me this week, not sure how I've managed that! Although may have put it, plus more, back on since I did my WI this morning - baked my Christmas cake today, haven't even had a little nibble of it but am sure I've put weight on just by inhaling the smell!

I made mine the weekend too! House smelt lovely- Fingers crossed it will taste nice

On low-fat diets - a word of caution to watch the sugar levels in some of the 'low fat' products as it's horrendous

Hope you all have a marvellous Monday
    Lx

Im always a bit wary of low fat products and their sugar content plus I don't like a lot of low fat things- M*ller lights for example are so sweet and plastic tasting that they make my eyes water :rotfl:

Well I feel like my head is still spinning today we crammed so much into the weekend and it went so fast I just cant believe it Monday already! Roll on Christmas :rotfl::eek:

    Today:
B: Porridge made with 1/2 water 1/2 skimmed milk, sprinkle of blueberries and a small banana
S: Apple, lf Greek yog with blueberries and sprinkle of bran flakes
L: 2 white cobs :o with chicken roll and coleslaw, carrot sticks
    S: Red grapes
T: Slow cooked gammon joint (cooked in cola) with HM wedges & egg
S: Hmmm maybe couple squares of dark choc

Think im going to try and go on a bit of a health kick between now and xmas first to go is the booze and after this week end im confident I can keep it up (feel loads better this morning than I have done in a while) then im going to tackle the sugar!! (She says having cooked a ham in cola lol)

I agree, I've stopped buying sweet lf products, just stick to cheese, milk and other items that don't generally include sugar.

  • Hi everyone

    Pablakeman, welcome!

Had a loss of 2 lbs this morning but today will probably heavily damage that result already... Am having the munchies and could eat my way through the whole kitchen... So will try to keep my mouth busy with sugar free apple sauce for the rest of the day...
We got cookies in the office and I have to admit that I had quite a few...

Came out of the office comletely frozen today. We have a clever system that should find out itself if heating or cooling is needed. Well, today it choose to cool the place down to fridge-like temperatures. The one in charge didn't yet had time to deal with the problem, as he was too busy complaining about feeling cold....

    Plan for today
    B porridge with apple
L baked potato with trout and quark topping
D red curry with tomatos and green beans, rice
    S cookies, apple sauce, banana
Drinks two big cups of tea, about 1.5 liter water

    Have a nice evening!

Well done on the weight loss :T

I feel your pain. I have had the munchies all week, have been fighting them hard, mostly with success thankfully. It has been hard today in particular as I met a recruitment consultant as I need more staff at work. He came armed with a dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts. And there's only me in my office. I kept opening the box and inhaling this afternoon. :rotfl:

Welcome pablakeman. Good luck with the challenge.

I have new scales. They are brilliant. That's all I am prepared to say at the moment, we will see what Saturday brings. ;)

Today's food has been pretty good:

    B: Weetabix and berries
L: Chicken burger and a heap of salad, apple and orange
D: Slice of peanut butter and banana on toast

    Enjoy your evenings! xx

They would have been my downfall!
    Probably the had a cheaper-by-the-dozend deal ;)

    TOdays plan
    B: Porridge, pear
L red curry with veggies and rice
D pasta with pepper, peas, ham and light philly
    S apple sauce, grapes, cookies

I bought the first mandarines of the year, so I know how I'll spend the evening... Peeling and eating them... My sister will probably come over for a while to bring something, so at least we have something healthy to nibble.

    Have a nice evening!
