Can I join please? I start tomorrow. Ive got a total of 1st 6.5lbs to lose and due to a drop in income I have quit my ww membership and downloaded the ultimate value diary app for £2.49 instead. It means i can carry on ww without the monthly fee.

Having issues with my gallbladder at the mo (no stones, its just not working well) and so im not sure what impact that will have on my weight. Therefore, can I join the current challenge and pledge to lose 5lbs before it ends please? Looking forward to chatting with you all x

Welcome aboard! always good to have another member of the weight loss team :D - I hope your gallbladder gets sorted (have you tried a low fat diet? I understand that can help)

    Hi everybody

Sorry not really been around much this weekend its OH birthday today so we been out and about alot! Went for a curry last night with his family but i decided against drinking as im just fed up of it so although it was a late night last night and i am tired today other than that I feel pretty good.

Why are people so suspious when you say you dont want an alcholic drink? Why do you have to be pregnant or ill or an ex alcholic not to want to drink?

Anyway eating not been great and having just made OH a victoria sponge with jam and whipped double cream dont suppose today will end much better

    Oh and STS for me

    B - banana
    L - slice stollen
D - roast lamb, potatoes and parsnips, carrots, leeks and cavolo nero, gravy made with the meat juices, browning and veg water in the meat pan. I was always told I make good gravy, granules in a tub are easy buy old habits die hard
S - grapes, plums, chocolate suggestive.

Have a good rest of the evening :)
  • Yay - 0.5lb off for me this week, not sure how I've managed that! Although may have put it, plus more, back on since I did my WI this morning - baked my Christmas cake today, haven't even had a little nibble of it but am sure I've put weight on just by inhaling the smell!

I'm with you on the gravy - I really don't like these granule things and a meat dinner without good gravy just doesn't work.

On low-fat diets - a word of caution to watch the sugar levels in some of the 'low fat' products as it's horrendous

    Today

B = Small bowl porridge with cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger -

L = Half grapefruit. One slice of hov*s toasted with scrambled egg. Portion blueberries and raspberries with fat-free yoghurt.

T = Home-cooked ham (freezer) with leeks in cheese sauce with 3 small new potatoes, steamed carrot batons, cauli, broccoli and courgette.

    S = 3 crackers with stilton

Drinks = 4 cups of tea with semi-skimmed milk and truvia sweetener. Lots and lots of tap water. Bottle of sparkling water. 175 ml glass of red wine. One measure of brandy

Hope you all have a marvellous Monday

Sorry I'm late KW 1/2 off for me please.

Not much I know but it has been a funny few weeks, dh is off this week (as well as last) so is preparing the meals and he wouldn't know healthy eating if it tackled him to the ground, and I also have absolutely no will power.
    So we shall see:o
    Well done everyone though:T

  • Can I join this please? I will be aiming to lose 10lbs by the 1st December (this may sound a lot but the first week or 2 I usually lose a bit more).

    Thanks!
