    Afternoon

1lb loss for me this week please :)

I know where you're coming from ellie99, if I weigh myself on a Monday morning I'll be at least 3lb heavier than I was on the Saturday morning.....keep thinking if I didn't 'treat' myself to the chips or that bag of crisps or choc bar over the weekend I may actually be closer to my goal weight than I am now.

I just have to convince myself that just because it's the weekend I shouldn't be a pig! :rotfl:

    L - Tuna & Cheese wrap
    T - HM Chilli & rice

S - bag of chocolate peanuts & handful of nacho's

    Today -

  • I am back! Not sure who remembers me. I am a few pounds heavier, one degree up and a job up!

Around exam time I fell off the wagon a bit and this continued in the summer. I started work this week so I am hoping the routine will help me. I need to get back into the habit of logging everything and not just guessing! I am hoping this group will give me a bit of motivation.

So hello again to everyone! I am Paul and I have just moved to Edinburgh to start a graduate scheme (one of the lucky/hard-working graduates who went straight from uni to work!)

pablakeman...hurray to the degree and the job :T :j
I think you can be excused not concentrating on dieting when you were doing exams!

savesummore...when you find "the zone", can you point me in the right direction? I don't think I'm even in the same country at the moment :o

Right, you're all invited to mine, I've too much food!
Had relations visiting today, a very last minute thing and I didn't have anything in to give them, so I went to the shops and bought a packet of biscuits, some scones and a cake.
I asked for 3 scones, and didn't notice until I'd got home that she'd given me 6.

Well they weren't hungry and only wanted a biscuit, so now I have 6 scones and a whole cake looking at me, and there's only me here, better not expect any loss this week :o

I'm guessing I can freeze scones? I don't want to waste them.

Sue when the children were small and had eaten all their dinner (or not, if they'd seen what was for pud), they would say the dinner side was full but the pudding side was still empty :D

My pudding side is always empty, lol, but it's just when I go out that I can't resist, as we rarely have desserts at home.

I always used to weigh in on a Monday, but as I was always lighter on Fridays I changed my official weigh in day.

Welcome back, and congrats on the degree and job!

Well the being good this week paid off, and I lost the 2lbs that I put on last week! However I've probably wrecked it again as we went out for dinner last night, dinner was 916 calories and dessert was 893 calories! On top of that, we went to mcd's for lunch today :o! I'm just going to draw a line under the weekend and start again tomorrow, lol!

It's a 'chocolate supreme with munchies' sundae from the harvester, and embarrassingly it was almost the highest calorie item on the dessert menu! It just looked so nice in the picture that I had to try it, lol, but I really should have had the fruit salad which was only 156 calories!

I'd have made the same choice Sue, a fruit salad just wouldn't cut it with chocolatey goodies like that on the menu lol.
I did once choose fruit salad and it looked so boring compared to what my friends had chosen.

My attitude is if I'm normally good at home, then I can choose what I like when I'm out. I'm sure there will be strict dieters who would slate me for that attitude, but it's what suits me.

Going to try and do some walking today to counteract any cake which might get eaten.

Well, I'm back from a few days in the caravan and I managed to not pig out as much as I would have, but also wasn't terribly good either. Result being I weighed this morning at 188.6lb, so officially 2.2lb off since last monday, (and 2.6lb on since Friday!) but I am hoping some of that will have shifted by Friday.

    Today
B - 1/4 marmalade sandwich, 1/4 peanut butter sandwich (kids' leftovers!)
    S - Pear.
L - Bacon and veg wrap.
    S - Smarties, pear.
D - Roast mutton, carrots and cabbage with gravy.
    P - Nectarine.

Not sure about dinner, I stuck a lump of frozen meat from the depths of the freezer in the oven on low with some water, when/if it cooks I'll invent some dinner with it! - It was pretty tasty...
