I haven't been on MSE for quite a while but I'd like to join in!

Currently I'm living in rural Sweden on a very tight budget and food is very expensive here. There isn't much choice either but I'm choosing to spend my money on veg and legumes rather than biscuits. I'm still allowing myself treats, and I'm still going to bake a few times a week but not go mad and eat it all in one sitting like usual...

I started trying to eat healthy a week ago, had my first weigh in this morning and I've lost 4lb so that's a good start.

    :)

Welcome to the gang sharloid :D

How many cakes did you have minicooper? :)

Have you tried a glass of water (add a touch of fresh lemon/lime juice for a change). I think lots of people think they are hungry when their body is saying they are dehydrated ;) and I definitely find it helps.

I honestly don't know lynnejk...I like drinking water about as much as you like going to the gym :D so I don't do it very often.
I do drink many large mugs of tea. Some articles I've read say it's got to be water and tea doesn't count, and some say tea's okay.

Had a stressful day today, why do my family have all their crises on the days I work? Is there some law I don't know about? :rotfl:
I'm telling them at my advanced age I can't do 2 things at once!

I'm almost at that stressed stage where I'll stop eating all together...almost...I managed to force down 4 slices of pizza and a chocolate flake, I'm very full now :o

I'm not going to feel too guilty, according to mfp, I've had maintenance calories, so I've only delayed things a little.

If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?

I was actually really good. I had two thin slices of cake (around a 10th-12th in total), a small caramel shortcake (you know the little inche sized bites), but around 15 haribo. I did have canteen chips for lunch (first time in 3 years), and pizza hut for dinner though.... It's been a one-off day though, I am not a job hopper, so it'll be years before I do anything like this again!

    Morning

Another 2lb loss for me this week ...means I hit the 3 stone mark :j

Really pleased that I lost this week as I chose not to have my usual salads and ended up having pasta bake twice in a row as wanted to use up some ingredients in the fridge so was expecting a gain.

Strange thing is I now want soups...must be something to do with the weather and all the wind and rain we're having, think my body is assuming it's autumn already :rotfl: may have to cave in and make pea & ham soup this weekend

    Have a nice weekend everyone
