Have you tried veggie pasta sauces but using Spaghetti Squash or ribbons of courgette instead of pasta? and I understand Cauliflower can make a good rice substitute as wellMust use my stash up!0 -

Hi and welcome
I know where you are coming from with the slimming groups- I attended one for about 6/8 weeks and by the time id paid £5 to be weighed, £10 to join, raffle, special 'choc bars', magazine etc etc it was costing a small fortune so I stopped and just weigh myself now!
I use My fitness pal to track my calories, which you can access free online HTHO/S weight loss 2.5 /10lbs (11st 8.0- 08.02)0 -
I haven't been on MSE for quite a while but I'd like to join in!
Currently I'm living in rural Sweden on a very tight budget and food is very expensive here. There isn't much choice either but I'm choosing to spend my money on veg and legumes rather than biscuits. I'm still allowing myself treats, and I'm still going to bake a few times a week but not go mad and eat it all in one sitting like usual...
I started trying to eat healthy a week ago, had my first weigh in this morning and I've lost 4lb so that's a good start.0 -
Oh dear... I went to Tesc0 for some last day cakes, and found a big celebration cake reduced to £2 plus 6 cupcakes reduced to £1.15. In case people didn't want buttercream frosting (who doesn't though?!?) I also bought shortcake, rocky road, cookies, haribo, and for those one a diet (like me) grapes. Because a few team-mates are on leave I also bought some individually wrapped cakes to leave in their desk drawers for when they get back.
I did say I thought it would be like a kid in a sweetie shop, but tomorrow I have to sit next to this lot all day, and try not to eat all of it! At least I have grapes...0 -
