Just popping in to say hi to everyone. Meals are erratic atm, I have tried to eat sensibly but not really hungry. I've been picking at pie, chocolate, all the things I shouldn't and know my weight has gone up because my fav trousers are getting too tight now. DM's funeral is on Tuesday so I really must start to make an effort after that, and to get back to posting daily. There just seems to have been such a lot to do, going to Reading and Henley almost every day is tiring but thank goodness it's not for much longer.

Lovely to read your posts, I'm trying to catch up and normal service will be resumed as soon as possible. Take care n God bless :)

My thoughts are with you, hope everything goes ok tomorrow. Don't worry about the weight you'll get back into it when you're ready.

Well I weighed in at the weekend and I'd put on 1lb ! That's not too bad considering what I was eating last week, but I have to admit that I've probably put on a bit more since then, as we went out for a meal on Saturday, and I had an ice cream trifle sundae afterwards :o, and we also bought a chocolate cake for my birthday. It's only a small one, and OH and I are having it over 4 days till it's gone but it's still bad, and of course it's been calling to me all day as I've been home alone since OH went back to work today!

So far today I have had:-

B chocolate granola with semi skimmed milk
L 2 sweet onion ryvitas with cheese
S 1 apple and 3 caramel rice cakes
D will be a jacket potato with baked beans

I have been craving loads today, but I'm determined to be good this week so I can lose what I put on last week. I have plenty of fruit in the house so I must eat that if I fancy a snack.
    Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs

  • Hi

I'm working really hard to lose weight now and would like to join you...

I have a lot to lose and am also trying to see whether a special diet (no sugar, wheat, dairy or processed food) will help my nasty autoimmune condition. I need lots of inspiration and encouragement because I miss my sugary comfort.

I'm also 11 days into my 'walk 1000 miles in a year challenge' which is going pretty well - I'm 26 miles ahead of schedule :-D. This is to try to help with the autoimmune problem, but it should also be good for my weight. I guess this is much more Old Style than going to the gym, and I'm doing exercises using YouTube videos.

I'm having a pork steak with onions, carrots and broccoli for my tea, and I've done a workout and 5.2 miles - AND I've been to work. I can't see me keeping up this pace when it gets busy at work again .

Welcome and hope you get on okay. I'm sure someone will be along to tell you how to join the challenge if you are interested as I'm still new on here.

    Today
B = Small bowl porridge. One conference pear.

L = Two stuffed mushrooms with some salad. Blueberries and raspberries with fat-free greek yoghurt.

T = One wm roll with chicken pate. A tomato and some olives. One conference pear

Drinks = 4 cups of tea with semi-skimmed milk and truvia sweetener. Lots and lots of tap water. Bottle of sparkling water. 175 ml glass of red wine. One measure of brandy

Question - just how can I find the motivation to find the time to do some more exercise  every day I say I will do some more 'tomorrow' and then the day seems to vanish down a dark hole in an ever-increasingly fast spiral. Help !!

Hope you all have a terrific Tuesday

Just find a way to squeeze in 5 minutes. See how many star jumps you can squeeze into an ad break, Jog on the spot while watching TV, or even while drying your hair. Do 100 jumps when you wake up in the morning, or 50 squats before bed. Working in just a little bit is much easier.

Well my legs still ache from Saturday. I did intend to go to Pilates this morning despite that, but unfortunately I woke up with the weirdest pain in my ribs last night. It felt like I had spontaneously cracked a rib or something - every time I breathed in, or even moved slightly I got a shooting pain in my side, it passed, but I decided not to go to pilates, as it might bring it back. As a result, no exercise today!

    B: 4 crackers
L: Adzuki bean stew with a pita bread
D: HM mince curry with rice, 3 ice lollies :o
S: some brazil nuts and dried cranberries, a chocolate crispie (very small one), 3 strawberries

Just a quick note regarding sugar if you want some inspiration there is a book called 'sugar blues' which you should be able to get seond hand on am*zon or similar. The book was written in the 1970's and details just how bad suagr is for you. Wish I could takes its teachings fully on board!

Of course you can join in - the more the merrier we always think :D

We do run a quarterly challenge (but you can jump in at any time), there are 7 more weeks to run for this one, so if you want to be included you just need to let me know how much you would like to lose in that time and then week on week you let us know how much you have lost (or gained :o)
    Must use my stash up!
