I was reading yesterday about a guy who is running the marathon in the commonwealth games who was overweight, and just woke up one morning and decided to start running. Wish I could get that sort of motivation!
Off to go look for it...

Maybe you are a bit stressed, feeling tired doesn't help.
I gave up in despair today...I lived in this house nearly 20 years, and had yucky inherited carpets all that time. Yesterday I had a new hall and stair carpet fitted at last, and this morning DS1 accidentally walked oily grease over it  I'd waited until the kids were grown up, but they're obviously not grown up enough!
Spent half an hour on my hands and knees trying to get it off.
So instead of carrying on painting, I went to a friends for coffee to stop me being grumpy. Unfortunately she had cake, and more unfortunately I had to have a piece, it had white chocolate icing
Think I'm still about 1300 calories though, so not too bad.

tessie bear, I've often felt the same, it takes so much effort just to lose one pound...but it really is worth it, it all adds up.
I've very rarely lost more than a pound a week, and often had weeks where I lost nothing at all, and it's taken me 18 months to lose 3 stone.
That 18 months would have passed whether I kept dieting or not, but I kept trying, and now I'm 3 stone less.
It's frustrating to lose it slowly, but there are meant to be benefits as well...lose slowly, keep it off? (still to test that theory)...less chance of saggy skin?
Just keep plodding along with your 1 pound a week, before you know it you'll have lost a good amount and really see a difference

and that's with a week off for christmas, a week off for your holidays, and a week off for your birthday :rotfl:..what's not to like!
I've been trying on new undies to try and find the perfect fit...looking in the mirror makes me realise how much I still have to lose, not a pretty sight
Went for a walk early on, and tried to walk faster than I normally do to beat the rain. Also done nearly an hour cutting back in the garden.
DS1 phoned needing a lift later (25 miles there, and 25 miles back!), and my first thought was "that'll interfere with making a normal tea, we could have a treat" (ie junk food ) WHEN will I stop equating takeaways with treats?
My second thought was "it's Thursday, weigh in tomorrow, not the night for indulging", so maybe I could get pizzas at the supermarket and count the calories.
Of course, I could prepare everything for a healthy meal now, but I never said I was perfect
