Sorry KW I'm not weighing in again this week, sadly my Mum passed away on Thursday and food is the last thing on my mind, just grabbing a sandwich or biscuit if and when I feel like it.

Well done all the losers, sts's and gainers - at least you'retrying.

Have a sunny rest of the day x

So sorry to hear your news, I know exactly what you're going through, take care of yourself, big hugs.

I'm pleased to report that I've lost the 1lb that went back on last week, as I've been eating better and exercising more (even managed to almost sleep all the way through the night once or twice), but I have to admit to having a large choc chip cookie at work, and last night I went to a friend's wedding reception and not only had a cup cake but also had a piece of wedding cake. I didn't eat that much from the buffet, but what I did eat was all high calorie, so I've declared yesterday as a day off, lol!

Last week I treated myself to a few new clothes, as matalan and asda have their sales on, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that I had to buy all size 8s! I think this is only due to the trend for 'vanity sizing' as the clothes I've been wearing (some of which I've had a few years), are size 12 and 14 and are not too much bigger than the size 8s, but it's a real boost to my confidence.

I'm now entering a very dangerous time of the year, as it is DS's birthday tomorrow and we are going out for dinner, which usually ends with a dessert, then in a couple of weeks it's my birthday (again a meal out with dessert) and then we do it all again for OH's birthday 2 weeks later, and of course we have a cake for each of the birthdays ! The exercise bike is going to get a fair bit of use over the next few weeks, lol!

Only just back from Blackpool and so sorry for your loss sparrer. I hope you have some good support over the coming weeks/months.

Weeell - had a wonderful weekend except for the diet :( Not the best of places to go for healthy food !!

Have to admit I had fried eggs and bacon for breakfast every day but did keep off the sweets and ice-creams. I also spent most of everyday walking miles in the lovely sunshine.

Tried to have sensible dinners but succumbed to having a chocolate desert on Saturday to die for - A knickerbocker glass filled with chocolate brownies, chocolate ice-cream, mint ice-cream and chocolate sauce, topped with whipped cream, marshmallows and a flake - gosh it was good.

Even worse probably though was the alcohol :naughty: - oh well, just have to work a bit harder at it the next couple of weeks.

Will weigh myself tomorrow to see what the damage is.

Well done all the losers and STSs and commiserations to everyone else.

Hope you all have a magical Monday

Well there's nothing like seeing a spider scurry across your pillow and then disappear (possibly inside) right before you turn your light out! I'm properly scared of spiders, as in used to have to have therapy to stop me from having panic attacks scared. Did not sleep well at all as a result, and ended up unable to keep my eyes open at work. It's just a little context for the sugar rush that follows:

    B: HM Berry Bircher
S: small (as in 2in x 1in) bit of cake, can of Alibi health drink, bag of skittles
L: Mixed beans with a HM fajita type seasoning
S: 2 small pieces of cake, nuts
D: Keema with rice + 2 ice lollies

I had just bought and opened the bag of skittles and drink when a colleague sent out an email offering cakes around. Unfortunate timing really...

    S - protein bar
L - 2 veggie samosas, mint choc mini roll
D - salad, pitta bread, ww rice, salad cream, low fat cheese
S - really looking forward to my sold to all day and opened it to find it had melted to mush and refrozen as a mushy mess, just not the same!
    E - walked 80 mins

Hope everyone has a great Tues :) I have another job interview in the morning, it's a group one this time, I've not done one of those before so have to keep telling myself it's good to have new experiences :D

Oh Zippy good luck with the interview! Trust your instincts in the group ones, if you think someone might have gotten it wrong, don't be afraid to say so! Obviously in a nice way :)

Good luck today zippy, hope it goes well. I have 2 part time jobs now too, but I like it that way (except for this coming weekend when I'm double booked and can't find anyone to cover for me, I seriously think I will run out of hours in the day! But looking on the bright side, I will have worked so hard I will be able to justify the calories in a pizza if I want to :o)

    Sue...size 8s!!! :T
Well done you, you must be "proper slim" now :D

Now, you have to tell us *exactly* what you bought so we can look out for them...if I could fit into a size 8 I don't think my head would fit through the door, I'd be so chuffed :rotfl:

I have never worn a size 8, ever. 30 years ago a size 8 was tiny, and I didn't know anyone who wore that size. It is confusing when manufacturers change the sizings...I'm wearing mostly 14s just now, but I have a skirt from about 20 years ago which is a 14, and it's still several inches too tight...it's a black pleated mini, I won't ever wear it out in public again, but I'm keeping it until I can say it fits!

Is it too early in the week to say this week is going well? I've had 3 or 4 good days in a row. I haven't even turned to food with the latest DS problems, I just keep telling myself that everything will be worked through, we just have to give it time (although we both had a big bowl of ice cream together yesterday :o)

My scales are desperately crying out for new batteries (LO LO LO :rotfl:)...I'm scared to put new ones in, in case the new ones decide the old ones weren't weighing me heavy enough...is this normal?

If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?
