Yesterday wasn't such a disaster as I thought it would be...only about 150 calories over...i walked to collect my fish supper, so that helped a tiny bit!
Have a busy day today, so that may help keep me away from the food! Haven't had anything to eat yet, because the muesli has run out (and I may still be full from last night).
I need to go to the shops, so will have a short walk there.

tessie bear, I don't really like cooking, and I don't like recipes with lots of ingredients, but I do make potato soup.
I put potatoes, carrots, and onions in a pot, with 2 pints (cos that's the size of the pot!) of either veg or ham stock (nothing special, just those little cubes you buy and pour hot water over).
I cook it for half an hour, and then blend it up, because 6 foot son doesn't do "lumpy vegetables" :-)
It's lovely with those rolls you can buy to heat up.

I'm really regretting my decision to buy porridge for a healthy month of breakfasts. Far too hot for porridge...
B: 4 crackers
L: Gigantis Plaki with a rollpasta with veggies and pesto
S: Nuts, pear, 2 ice poles, 2 profiteroles (someones birthday)
I think my day would have been better if I had had a proper breakfast to be honest. I maybe need to try making some oat based cereal bars...0 -

Evening everyone,
I make a really simple low calorie spicy butternut squash soup and its yummy....its great with one of those buns for your lunch or even a light tea.
1 butternut squash diced
1 onion diced
garlic
ginger (dried or fresh)
chili (flakes or fresh)
1 pint chicken or veg stock
Salt & pepper
I've left the amount of ginger, garlic and chili up to you as I don't measure it and it will also depend on how big your squash is. If I was to guess it would be about 1 or 2 garlic, tsp ginger and half a tsp chili.
I cook mine in the slow cooker for about 4 hours on high and 2 on low.
If you do it on the hob just cook until the squash is soft.
I use my stick blender on it when its ready as I also prefer non-lumpy soup :rotfl:0
