Wasps are the one thing I will kill...I'm quite happy to carry big spiders outside and open windows for flies to escape, but when a wasp is bothering me I'll stomp on it or whack it with a newspaper. I'm allergic to their stings and swell up something awful...a sting on the foot meant I couldn't wear shoes at work, and one on the inside of my mouth (it was on my sandwich) was not a pretty sight, (and really painful!) Wasps are evil. .

and...I was in the middle of a large car boot sale, selling, so there was no way I could just leave. I got some ice cubes from an ice cream van, but they didn't help much!

I know what you mean about it being all in the mind...I really want to eat things today, but I'm not actually hungry. I guess I'll just have to use willpower.

Haven't found a nice one to buy which is why I make my own. Wonder why you not happy with HM ? Maybe you not using HM stock - as you now have a bit of time I would have a punt around on the tinternet for soup recipes and have another go. A good start might be Crank's soup recipes - they don't list all but there are a few on the tinternet. The book itself is gorgeous if you like some vegetarian food. At least then you will know what is in it and good luck.

    Today
B = Conference pear with HM yoghurt and small piece cheese

L = Tuna, tomato and rocket on one slice wm open sandwich. 2 x apricots

D = HM shepherd's pie with baked beans. Strawberries.

Drinks = 4 cups of tea with semi-skimmed milk and truvia sweetener. Lots of tap water. Bottle of sparkling water. 200 ml glass of red wine. One measure of brandy.

Hope you all have a terrific Tuesday

Mmm - that's a good idea! My sister will make this up and make something a bit like a lasagne using layers of potato and aubergine (with a little cheese grated on top). All far too hot for this weather, but aubergines are in season just now!

I've made lasagne before and substituted the lasagne sheets for either leeks or courgettes. I prefer it with the courgette but both are nice :)

I think I'm going to fall off the food wagon big time today.

I've already eaten 3!!! jaffa cake mini rolls, I won't have any lunch to compensate, but I'm already thinking about a fish supper for tea. (what's the point in takeaway free weekends if I cave in mid-week!)

Had phone calls from both DSs, so lots of things to worry about...I keep telling myself everything will be sorted out eventually, but it's a mothers job to worry, isn't it, I can't help myself! It's the constant anxiety which makes me think about fish suppers :-(
Sometimes I think longingly of a desert island with no mobile phones!

Our TV has packed up, and I've wasted loads of time looking at new ones online. Haven't decided what to do yet.

Apologies for not dieting on the dieting thread!

Ellie- Hope things start to pick up for you! Eating a chip supper wont help your problems but sometimes it feels nice to have a treat so maybe have a treat & then draw a line under today to start afresh tomorrow?

    I am melting today!!

Went gym last night and I really really worked hard so feel good about that :D

    Today:
B: bran flakes, berries, banana, lf greek yog
S: 2 small chicken drummers no skin
L: HM salad- ham, egg, bit of left over rice, salad
S: apple, red grapes, Ice lolly :p
T: Jamie olivers hm carbonara (sp?) not as bad as it sounds as no cream and just 50g cheese between 2 people
    S: Maybe a small choc

Work is like a minefield today its the young lads birthday and he has brought in loads of chocs and biscuits  and then my (well meaning) collegue has only gone and brought me a MASSIVE bars of popping candy choc :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: I think you should all pm me your addresses so i can send you a square each :rotfl: spread the calories

I will resist chocs at work and the plan with my big bar is to just have a couple of sqaures a night :o

Yes savesummore, think I'll just have today off and get back on it tomorrow. I'm away from home today, and I really really don't want to go home!

Good luck with your plan for a couple of choc squares a night, if you can do that you're a stronger person than me!
The only way I could avoid eating that choc is if I put it in the bin!
(perhaps you could do that Paul Mckenna thing of imagining it covered in maggots or other disgusting things :-))

B: 4 crackers and a few bite of melon (it wasn't quite ripe)
L: a sort of gigantis plaki with a roll
D: pasta with veggies and pesto
S: a few too many nuts I think, 2 ice lollies, 2 ice poles.

It'll be the same tomorrow, but hopefully I'll have one less ice pole, one less ice lolly and a few less nuts.
