I had a sweetie shock today! I don't usually buy sweets so am only aware that they're fattening, not what the calories are. Today I was at work and reallllly needed something to eat (I don't keep food in the car or I'd eat it every day). I stopped at a village shop but the only fruit they had was a few black bananas and some tomatoes, which didn't appeal, so I bought a pack of starburst, thinking it's just a little packet, won't do too much harm.

How many calories do you think are in a packet of starburst?
404  and I thought I was doing a good thing avoiding the chocolate. and..they were 55p  that's 11 shillings in old money!
So won't be buying those again.

I'm going out with friends for a birthday meal tonight and I'd hoped to have no lunch to help offset what I have to eat tonight, but added to the sweets I've just had muesli and strawberries. I couldn't help myself, I feel like I'm about to meet myself coming backwards, I've so much to do. I'm covering for a colleague who's taking her holidays, working 11 days in a row. It doesn't leave much time for all the other stuff that's going on...I plan my day and then there will be phone calls wanting this and that *right now* and I end up stressed trying to fit it all in. But it all needs to be done, I'm trying to support DS2 through a particularly nasty time and he needs my time just as much as work does.
Even the meal tonight just feels like an extra thing to do, but I'm sure I'll enjoy it once I get there...will have to miss out the half hour "deciding what to wear" session though, no time today.

sparrer, I heartily sympathise with all travelling you're doing, I hope your DM gets settled in somewhere soon and the pressure eases a bit.

If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?

Thanks Elle, I'm going to try that approach and that chocolate isn't going off the market, it will still all be available in days, weeks, months etc I don't need to eat it all in one day :o

Sorry things are so stressful for you and you too sparrer x

I'm not bothered by sweets either so would never have guessed that many in a pack of opal fruits

Can't believe how fast today has gone, I had so and to clean and bake and done nothing much so far.
