Hiya everyone and thanks for the welcome :hello:

I would like to join the challenge and am aiming to lose a pound a week but eating healthily at the same time.

Okay I have you down as hoping to lose 11 pounds (1st weigh in next week!)

Your food seems okay, exercise - swimming and gentle walking to keep your knees mobile I would have thought.
    Must use my stash up!

Hi lynnjk welcome! I had a Google for some knee friendly exercises, and they recommend walking (helps strengthen the knees) and swimming/aqua aerobic classes.
Thanks for the Google. Problem is it's too bl**dy painful to walk faster than a snail atm so not even walking to swimming pool :(. Just hope it will soon improve with doing some non-weight bearing exercises.
Sorry you had problem with house-mates and hope soon sorted.

Thanks for the comments. Had a good think and maybe just half a pound a week atm so 5.5 pounds please. I gather Friday is 'weigh-in' day ??

    Today
B = quarter of a pineapple + portion of HM yoghurt made with semi-skimmed milk
L = two medium HM salmon fishcakes with large salad and balsamic vinegar
D = medium portion HM risotto with fresh broad beans, peas and asparagus tips. Then :naughty: pudding of quarter portion of HM pear tart tatin with a little elmlea. (It's Friday)

Drinks = 4 cups of tea with semi-skimmed and truvia sweetener. Lots of tap water. Bottle of sparkling water. 200ml glass of red wine. One measure of brandy.

Hope you all have a super Saturday

Hi everyone, sorry I've not been around much, finding it hard to concentrate on dieting at the moment. Funny how eating well is always the first thing to go out the window when there's other stuff going on! That's not right, also realised I still need to work on the "food is comfort" thing, don't think I'll ever fully overcome that (or even if I want to).

Had a quick read back - sparrer, glad you're feeling a bit better, that sounds nasty, and very badly timed!
minicooper, glad you've recovered too, your recovery menu made me laugh.

Since I've not been trying so hard, it's ironic that I've lost 2 lbs, not sure how that happened, must have done something right.

savesummore, PUT DOWN THE POPPING CANDY CHOCOLATE, IT'S EVIL! (or is it all gone now :rotfl:)

If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?

    Morning

I just realised I never posted my weigh in result last week...good job it was a STS! :o

Anyway this week its a 2lb loss :T

As of last night I'm on 2 weeks holiday from work :j so I'm thinking healthy eating may be an issue as no routine.

However I do plan to decorate my bedroom and do some heavy work in the garden so maybe I'll counteract any damage I'll do on the food front....fingers crossed x
