Feeling more normal today. Had a long drive for work today, around 5 hours worth of driving, and an hour and a half of walking around. It was by the seaside though, which was nice. It was a last minute meeting, so I hadn't managed to plan for it when I went shopping at the weekend. You'll see what this meant in a sec:
B: quarter of a melon, half a protein slice
L: seaside small portion of sausage and chips. 1 scoop of chips and a small (supermarket sized) sausage
S: driving got exhausting, so I bought a lucozade to keep me awake. And possibly impulse bought some salt and vinegar squares...
D:fried rice and so!e nuts for desert.0 -
Hi all, thanks for all your kind words and cyber hugs, really appreciated. The funeral went off well, everyone said that the service was lovely and I did my dad proud. My older sister didn’t turn up, and didn’t even send any flowers (and still doesn’t see anything wrong in putting her holiday ahead of our dad’s funeral!), but my younger sister came and almost squeezed the life out of me when she arrived as she hugged me so tight!
We spent the weekend clearing and cleaning my dad’s flat, so we could get the keys back to the council on the Monday, as we didn’t want to be charged any more rent, I now have a load of boxes of his stuff in our shed to sort out. Unfortunately the diet went to hell, as we had a mcd the night before the funeral, then the next night we had a chippy tea (not that I had too much as I wasn’t very hungry), then on the Saturday we went for another mcd, as we were worn out after working on the flat all day, and my niece insisted on buying us a mcflurry but we felt we deserved it.
Although my diet hasn’t been the most important thing on my mind lately, I’ve tried to not let myself go too much, as I don’t want to undo all my good work, especially as I’m so close to my goal, and although my weight keeps going up and down, at the moment I am weighing less than I did on my last weigh in. I will weigh in properly tomorrow, and try to get back into it properly in the next few days. Good luck everyone with your weigh ins.Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs

Hiya everyone and thanks for the welcome :hello:
I would like to join the challenge and am aiming to lose a pound a week but eating healthily at the same time.
The two problems I have is that I have recently given up smoking (and I was a heavy smoker) and also I used to do a lot of walking but atm have a lot of pain with my knees. So I am trying not to snack/eat more and also struggling to find some exercise that is easy on the knees
Today
B = portion of blueberries +portion of strawberries +portion of HM yoghurt made with semi-skimmed milk
L = two medium HM salmon fishcakes with portion of peas and portion of sweetcorn
T = portion asparagus (steamed) with salad leaves, tomato, scallion, feta cheese and black olives. HM olive oil and mustard dressing (2 teaspoons)
Drinks = 4 cups of tea with semi-skimmed and truvia sweetener. Lots of tap water. Bottle of sparkling water. 200ml glass of red wine. One measure of brandy.
I would appreciate any comments and help with this - either exercise or diet
Hope you all have a super Friday

Hi lynnjk welcome! I had a Google for some knee friendly exercises, and they recommend walking (helps strengthen the knees) and swimming/aqua aerobic classes.
Well I had a shocking night of sleep last night after having a disagreement with our couple-housemates over their lack of contribution on communal house items. I did expect only getting 3 hours of angry sleep would negate any loss this week, however I'm starting the new challenge with a 1.5lb loss. If I can lose 1lb more, I'll have broken my glass ceiling and can hopefully start to shake off the next stone.0 -
Can you put me down for a 3lb total to be lost for this challenge pleaseLoved our trip to the West Coast USA. Death Valley is the place to go!0

Morning all
Weighed myself today and have a 2lb loss this week so 3lbs in 2 weeks. I'm very happy with thatI haven't really been thinking about meals but it's chip shop night tonight so I might go with chicken salad or kebab meat and salad perhaps.
Hope you all have a good day2016 Grocery Challenge January: £296.20/£300 February: £262.05/£3000 -
Morning all, KW can you please remove 1 1/2 of those lbs I put on! I think I've lost them through not eating for 3 of my 5 fasting days. I'm drinking fennel tea which I was told is good for soothing a bad tummy, and someone on one of the other threads has just said it's also an appetite suppressant which would no doubt explain why I'm feeling a bit better, and not hungry all the time.
B - cup of (proper) tea
L - will be out all day so just tea/water
D - hm chicken soup and a hm smoothie
S - tea, juice and water
Good luck for the wi everyone0 -
