sparrer, I hope you get your DM settled in somewhere soon, must be a very stressful time. Could you not stay in her house occasionally to save driving so much, or do pets put the kibosh on that idea?

Unfortunately yes ellie, I have a dog who I can't take there, DM's flat is in a supported housing block which doesn't allow pets.

    Thanks, SSM

Did anyone see the worlds best diet last night? It was really interesting!

No, what is the worlds best diet then?

I tried a protein bar today...had it about 11am. It didn't just make me feel full though, hard to describe, but felt sort of *yuck* all day...not ill, but like I couldn't face eating anything. I think I prefer enjoying my meals, even if they're not always as large as I'd like!

I've got one bar left, will maybe try eating half next time.

I'm decorating again, and also getting some house repairs done, and have agreed to do extra work to cover holidays...I wish I hadn't started everything at once :( (although to be fair, I didn't know about the extra work when I arranged everything else).
I hate how the whole house seems to become a dumping ground the moment you have to empty one room.

If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?

ellie I was a little pike that. I think it can vary with different bars though.

I watched the world's best diet on demand last night SSM - really good! More the 25 worst and 25 best though... I think the diets varied quite a lot, but suppose the lesson is to use few processed ingredients, and not a lot of sugar.

I listened to an interesting interview with a nutritionist last night, and this was a good question that stood out:

Q: so how often do you think is acceptable to have cheat days, maybe have a hamburger once or twice a week?

A: (or rather, question back), if you had a million dollar champion race horse, would you think it was ok to give it a diet like that? Why would you value your body less than the race horse's?
