Well done on the losses and sts :T I'm sure gains will be gone again next week xxx
7st 9 lost, my original goal was getting to 10st as that just got me into the healthy bmi bracket, I'm 9st 10 now and next goal is 9st 6. I'm a shortie and I was always 8st 7, but have to keep telling myself that was a good few years ago. I'll just take it a couple of pounds at time, but think my goal will be when my wedding ring fits again. Anyone else struggle to pick a goal weight? I think it takes a while for your head to catch up with your body.
I am going in small chunks *zippy*, first goal - below 20 stone (Goddess I HATE medication and out of whack thyroids!), 2nd goal - below 17 stone (the lowest Dr Warlock has ever seen me was at 17-6), so basically 3 stone at a timeMust use my stash up!0 -

You two that is amazing, you have really inspired me and fired up my determination.
Meal plan for todayBreakfast: dry fried bacon and scrambled egg
Lunch: burger, roll and salad followed by low fat chocolate milk
Dinner: this one is the problem: daughters home made bread and spreads followed by daughters absolutely fantastic looking cup cakes with butter icing.
Daughters cooking: I just can't not have at least one of each as she has worked so hard on them, and even had a go at clearing up the kitchen. ..... I was thinking if I just had one of each and loads of salad, I might get away with it.... Maybe I should skip the bun with my burger at lunch time."Never ascribe to malice that which is adequately explained by incompetence."Weight loss challenge:j: week 1~ Napoleon Bonaparte

Sorry I've been AWOL for so long. I have constantly been coming up sts and it's actually sapping my enthusiasm .
I weirdly used to enjoy doing my exercises, and even when I was sts I would think "nvm, it will go down next week" but it hasn't and it's really bumming me out. I was hoping to be lush for my birthday, then that passed so I aimed for hubby's birthday. That's passed too now, and I feel like packing it all in

I decided that as it's exactly 6 months into the challenge I would reassess my current plans on losing weight.
Since the start of the challenge I've increased my fruit and veg intake as I only had veg on a sunday normally....:o - I now eat non meat based meals at least 4 times a week and I have fruit everyday
I've introduced new foods into my diet, so at the grand age of 40 I discovered I like chickpeas, butternut squash and radishes amongst others - I think I'll aim to try a new food at least once a month and see if I can have 12 new foods on the menu by the end of the year
Exercise...I dont do any on a regular basis  - so yesterday I went out and bought a gym ball...I used this alot when I used to go to the gym a few year back, I find it much easier to do sit ups on this than just lying on the floor. I discovered it's great for the bingo wings aswell when you try to bloomin inflate the thing
Water....I only drink it if it comes with a teabag and milk! So today I've started drinking water on its own, I think they recommend 2 litres a day but that's a lot when you're not used to it so I'm going to see how it goes and just work up to drinking 2 litres a day by the end of this week.
*I reserve the right to stop any exercise or water consumption if I start to add 1lb's on weigh day*

Hi, please try not to get too down although believe me i know how frustrating dieting can be sometimes- I decided January that I wanted to lose 1 1/2 stone before my holiday in June and over the following 4 months I lost and regained the same 4 lbsI decided I needed to do something different and for me that was to join a weight loss class (im not saying this is want you should do) so maybe have a think what you can do differently. Im very close to going on holiday now and only 5.5lbs lighter not the 1 1/2 stone I wanted to be but im not going to let that spoil my enjoyment

I feel fairly similar right now. It's frustrating! But it's important that you're not gaining anything either. Like SSM says, if what you're doing isn't working for you any more, you maybe need to look at what you can do differently. It could be a different type of exercise, more protein and less carbs, finding a different motivation to work towards?
Today I was listening to something about having a 'pull' rather than a 'push' attitude when you're dieting. I can't explain it properly, but basically it's about having a reward at the end of it, something to work towards. So I've created a countdown calendar for my wall - 2 goals: 1- to fit into my too small jeans by my friends wedding in 61 days (I need to lose around 2-3 inches), 2- I'm going to dig out a dress to target for my holiday in 171 days!0 -
tessa I've lost 3 stone in 3 years, I'm 4' 11 1/2" and now 9st 6lb, just inside my 'safe' bmi. Aiming for 8st 10 but keep fluctuating between 9st 10 and 9st 4. I just struggle on, sure I'll get there one day soon. The treadmill has helped me to get leaner but not lighter but I bought it to increase lung capacity, not really for a body fitness exercise.
I'm away for a week from Tuesday with two friends who seem to be able to eat an elephant and not put on an ounce so I'll have to be careful I don't try it!
B - 3 breakfast biscuits - don't really like them but they needed using up
D - salmon Nicoise, no dressing
T - 2 thins 1xpeanut butter, 1xStilton
S - banana, handful dried raisins
E 6x5 mins on treadmill, gardening, changed (king size)bed
Have a good week, hope the sun keeps shining on you0 -
I pulled out a couple of skirts that are around a dress size too small, and was going to target those for my 171-day holiday challenge. Held them against my jeans for my 61-day wedding weekend challenge, and they're the same size!
Measuring my hips, I need to lose 6 inches :eek:0
