I also liked this one (I may have to waste an hour or two sometime browsing the site
)
"What if you knew that you could reach your goal by taking just one more step? Would you take that step?
At some point in the process of achievement, the final hurdle is reached. What a shame it would be to stop just short of that one last obstacle.
Achievement does not require extraordinary ability. Achievement comes from ordinary abilities applied with extraordinary persistence.
You already know you can do what it takes. To reach any goal, simply do what it takes for as long as it takes.
It’s really not that difficult to take just one step, to do just a single task, to make one bit of progress. And if you can do it once, you can do it again, and again, and again without much problem.
Keep the faith and keep up the effort. Your persistence will get you there."

My highlighting...I really like the reminder that we just need to do what it takes for as long as it takes
If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?0 -

Hi guys is it ok if I join ?
I'm trying to get healthier and loose a bit weight ... already at healthy BMI but want rid of that post kids lumps (saying post kids .. they are 11)
I use my fitness pal and am normally always within my calorie goal ... I do an hour workout with Jillian Michaels everyday (doing one day banish fat boost metabolism and one day no more trouble zones, and I also throw in a shred or ripped session) but I don't seem able to loose weight ... my tummy is getting more toned but I really want to loose that last 8lbs
I lost nearly 60lb doing weight watchers a couple of years ago and have kept most off, I did drop more than I should have but put that down to splitting with ex hubby and stress and now I want to get this 8lbs off that I'm not happy with.
I know that some people will think 8lbs but to me its a slippery slope and after loosing all that weight before the last thing I want is for it to start creeping back on ... im hoping if I could loose it 1/2lb a week I would be happy ...
Any tips what to do ... like I said I stick to 1000-1200 calories a day, I weigh around 9st7lb and I'm around 5ft5 ... I'm doing the exercise but not loosing anything ?
Any advice would be great ... one thing I think prob won't help is I pick a lot but I do track it on mfp app and take it from my allowance
Thanks a mill

Hi and Welcome
Im 5ft 5 and would give my right arm to be 9st 7...........now if I gave away my arm i guess id weigh less :rotfl:hmmmmmm ideas ideas lol!
It may just be the case that your body has found its natural level the only other thing I can think is maybe have a couple of days a week where you eat 1500-1800 cals to 'kickstart' your metabolism, also muscle weighs heavier than fat so you may not lose weight from your exercise but you will lose inches
I had a snack size mars bar last nightI really MUST get this weekend treat mind set out of my head!!!
Today:
B: 35g porridge made 1/2 water 1/2 s/s milk, blueberries, banana
S: chicken drummer skin removed, carrot sticks, celery sticks
L: HM tuna pasta salad
S: Apple & red grapes
T: Im out for tea and going to Nandos but if i have chicken and take the skin off, salad and rice I should be OKO/S weight loss 2.5 /10lbs (11st 8.0- 08.02)0 -
Thanks for the welcome guys ...
I'm looking forward to joining the group .... a bit like weight watchers but old style
I know what you mean about being at goal but I weighed just under a stone less when I met my bf (was to low but have normally been around 9st. )
Think I'm gonna try a bit harder not to pick and stick to my 3 meals a day (with treat after dinner ) ..... this will probe mean lots of messaging and posting to stop the picking
Todays going to be
Breakfast: cherries
Lunch: hm tomato soup with warb thin
Dinner: mushrooms, red peppers and jalapeños cooked in Philly light with garlic along with another thin. Afters sugar free strawberry jelly
Supper: options hot chocolate with mini marshmallows
I've already done my no more trouble zones strength workout for 50 minutes

Evening
Does anyone else have meals made from random items or am I an oddity?
I planned to have salad for tea but by time I got home I didn't fancy it.
Ended up eating 8 jersey royal potatoes cut into bite size pieces, a small handful of salad leaves that were left in the bag and a tablespoon of coleslaw.....and really enjoyed it!!
Have checked and for something so tasty it only works out at about 300 calories so well within allowance for the day!0 -
Back from a long weekend now. I don't even know where to start!
Saturday: Lunch: fish and chips (needed something immediate for lunch, as we were held up in traffic for ages, and starving by the time we got to lunch) Dinner: 4 chicken fajitas (healthy, except there were 4!) Snack: tiffin
Sunday: lunch: Hot dog and a few cinnamon stick from Auntie Anne's (the OH wanted to try it, and forced a couple on me (he really did, honest!)) dinner: indian buffet - ate so much, I felt sick
Monday: Baked potato with tuna and sweetcorn (trying to recover), chicken and chorizo macaroni (tomato sauce, not cheese), 3 cocktails at the theatre
Today: breakfast: bacon roll (complimentary first class train breakfast), lunch: BBQ pulled pork wrap, dinner: chicken burger and chips (post interview treat) with a chocolate mousse for dessert.
I say this every time I visit the OH, but I really need to eat healthier next time!0
