    Evening All,

I've finally had time to post after quite a few days of not doing so. DS and DDiL have been away for a few days and I've had DGD to stay and have also been doing extra at work whilst they are away so it has been fairly hectic. I was supposed to have an evening at home tonight but got asked to babysit at half an hours notice as the other Grandma whose turn it was can't make it. Still, it keeps me out of my kitchen and the delights of home baking and nibbles.

Congratulations Little Moog on your news.

I've been fairly good with my eating and exercise this week. I have my 10K run on Sunday and don't feel as fit (or as slim) as I'd planned/hoped to be. I started writing down my calories again today and intend to keep it up rather than just estimating it in my head as I've been doing.

B: Muesli with extra sultanas and full fat milk. Banana
L: Ham sandwich made with one slice of HM granary bread with pickled onions and cherry tomatoes. Stewed plums with Greek yoghurt.
D: Sole with lemon and black pepper coating served with mashed swede and spinach cooked with garlic, mushrooms and onion and a spoonful of creme fraiche.

Exercise: 1 hour of Pilates. Walks to work, exercise class and DGD's so about 2 to 2.5 miles in total.

Hey, I'm back in the land of the living, the anti-convulsants have kicked in so there's no pain yippee! but there is obviously an infection there and I now look like a lop-sided chipmunk LOL. Worst bit is that the meds need to be taken with food and I really don't feel like eating so I'm having to force it down. I've even made a loaf today, usually it's impossible for me not to nibble at it while it's still cooling down but no, even that didn't really tempt me, I did eat a slice but...

Anyway, all set for a weigh in tomorrow, good luck all :D

And congratulations Little Moog! I lost 2 stone in my first trimester with DS2 and the docs weren't worried because I was still overweight.

Exercise usual 1 hour walk to work and back, stairs all day! About 20 flights i reckon!

Littlemoog - congratulations! They kicked me off Weightwatchers when I got pregnant with DD (now 2) - so I put on three stone... and that's why I'm here (just last week got back to the weight I was when I left). They used to say it's fine to lose in the first 12 weeks but if you aren't hugely overweight I would settle for just not gaining much and then lose the rest after baby comes. See what doctor/midwife says though.

I had a lovely day today, DD (my third and youngest) had her first day at preschool (no tears, her or me!) so I went to a cafe and had cake and coffee for breakfast, a mooch around the chairty shops where I bought a Next size 10 coat (their coats are big), 2 size 12 jeans and a size 12 skirt! (never get to try stuff on with DD around and daren't buy without trying) Looked in their mirror and realised I am NOT fat any more. DH has been trying to tell me for ages but all I see is the wobbly bits, but I actually saw myself looking slim and realised how well I have done. Almost three stone gone in 14 months. Slowly but surely... and I am planning to still be a size 12 when I am 50 (27 this year).
Sorry for the self indulgence :o but rather pleased with myself today! Slightly ruined by the pizza, cheese straws and half tin of veg chili I had for lunch and the burger, wedges and onion rings for dinner though... but I did swim for 50 minutes this evening.

WI this morning with a lb loss hope it is still gone tomorrow.
Good luck every one for WI tomorrow...

Congratulations LittleMoog - keep happy and healthy that's the main thing.

So much for my quiet relaxing day at home. I had hoped after the busy week I had that today was all about relaxing, maybe doing a bit of light cleaning and some forward menu plan....HAH.. the best laid plans ....etc, ended up reorganising my day to suit other people....why cant I ever say no!

Breakfast was pretty healthy with some porridge and fresh fruit.
Lunch - bit of a rush so ended up with toast, cheese & cucumber.
Dinner - wasn't organised so pulled out some bolognaise from the freezer, quickly cooked a handful of spaghetti - no time to prepare veg.

Better day tomorrow - I just wont answer the phone :p

    Congratulations LittleMoog x
Remembering the advice I used to give women (Im a retired midwife now - ill health) - eat a balanced diet and eat regularly so eat first thing and add healthy snacks throughout the day so that blood sugars and blood pressure dont plummet. As such you dont need to add extras but make sure every mouthful is healthy (although babies need and love chocolate too :p). The recommendations are always changing as regards safe eating in pregnancy

I am drawing a line under my consumption of chocolate:EasterBun:EasterBun:EasterBun

Im still battling the "Witch" but need to get a grip. I have actually stayed relatively stable but have not lost so a bit disappointed as have been stuck for many weeks. Good luck for weigh-ins x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    Morning all!

Congrats to Little Moog, how exciting!

Have just weighed and I've managed to lose half a pound this week, finally! Ragz can I have another smiley face please as I already had half a pound lurking.

I'll keep plodding away, oddly I've eaten less well the last two weeks but managed to lose.

Good luck to all for today

    Morning all,

Congrats on the baby news, LM, and good luck with your run on Sunday, RW.

Reporting in with a 1lb gain.

There's only me to blame :o

I'm just not in the mood to be watching what I eat and exercising at the moment. I know little snackettes and a nightly tipple are the culprits. I just can't do this and not put on weight, despite other portion sizes being good.

I'm going to try to be back to the basics from Monday and give myself a mini challenge to lose 4lbs by the end of March...

Good luck to the rest of you :T

LB xx (slumps off fed up with self :()

Good luck with the run Rose Wood I am sure you'll do yourself proud.
Glad you're feeling better Daska that sounded terrible.

Mixed bag for me today, the past few days I have felt skinnier than a skinny thing and wondered if I have been overdoing it, as I felt totally exhausted yesterday. The scales tell me I lost 1 pound and a half this week and I am of course mightily chuffed about that. I have now lost the 7 pounds (plus the extra half) that I set out to achieve in this challenge. I celebrated with fish and chips and a cream cake for tea, because I really did feel like rubbish, half starved and in need of the calories, despite having usual breakfast and lunch.

I have got the start of a cold and sore throat which in itself is most disappointing considering I can't remember the last time I was sick (one cold I think in seven years) so I can't help but feel this is all related. Maybe I have weakened my immunity in some way, but it certainly can't be for lack of vitamin C.

Ideally I would like to lose another six pounds, so I will keep going. I will take a good rest over this weekend and feed the cold and maybe up my calories a bit for the next week or so and see where we go from there.
