Good morning everyone!
ragz I have lost one pound so at least I have got back on track. Thanks for updating.
Yesterday was my daughters birthday so I did treat myself to some lovely cake and a few other things I don't normally eat, will have to be careful over the weekend to make up for it.
B - banana, yoghurt, honey, toasted nuts [my summer breakfast, no need for porridge now]
L -wholemeal pitta, LF houmous, salad
D - nut roast, ratatouille
S's -fruit, nuts
Exercise -a nice long swim hopefully.
Best of luck with the weigh ins!0 -
Right, well, the combination of strict dieting and ill health - caused by bugs brought home by DS2, existing conditions and the meds I'm on rather than the dieting I hasten to add - means that according to the scales I lost a further 6lb and have met my Easter target of 10lb. I'm not sure I believe this, I think it's probably mainly water and will go back on when I can eat properly again. Ragz please could you put me down for 4lb since the friday before half term (total of 8lb) and I'll work on being STS next week.Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants - Michael Pollan

Morning everyone
Thanks for all the congratulations, I can still hardly believe it myselfWe caught really quickly, but I'd been mentally preparing myself for it to take much longer, with being overweight etc! We're going home to tell our families over the weekend, maybe it will feel more real then
Seeing the GP this afternoon to get thyroid meds adjusted, so will ask her advice about diet etc. My BMI is currently 31.6, 10lb over BMI 30, so I think I've got enough reserves to feed the bean if I keep to a lower calorie target :rotfl: I'm planning to keep eating a healthy diet and do plenty of swimming/walking alongside my pilates so will hopefully be fitter and not much heavier at the end of my pregnancy than I am now.
Weighed in this morning, 14st12lb, so have STS
Today's meals:
Breakfast: granola bar, dried apricots, grapes
Lunch: sandwich from canteen, apple, satsumas
Dinner: sausages, oven chips/wedges (undecided!) beans
First veg box arriving today, can't wait to see what we get so I can do a meal plan for the weekLittle monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
Morning all - I have kept the pound off so it's a 1lb loss for me this week. I seem to be losing an average of half a pound a week, so very slow but at least it is going (I could try harder and easily lose it quicker but I don't like to deprive myself, I like my treats! In fact, it's a wonder I have lost ANYTHING) and I reckon I only have 6lb to go (aiming for 11 stone, I am 5ft10) but I will se how I feel when I get there. DH is worried I will get too thin, I think he doesn't want me flat chested! I promised him I know when to stop, I was 10 stone once and I looked AWFUL!
I must stop shopping now, I have spent nearly £200 on clothes and shoes this year already, but I did have nothing in my size so I really needed it and lots have been charity shops, in fact £65 of that was boots and sandals so I guess it;s not too bad really)
Great losses everyone!
Especially well done to Kiwisaver on meeting your target (special smilie for you coming up)...
Rosewood - can you come and make me dinner please? Your food plan looks lovely!
Breakfast - Muesli, tinned fruit and yogurt
Lunch - waitrose 'you count' bolognese pot 310 calories (reduced to 19p!)
Dinner - Fish in sauce with veg fried rice. (Hubby moans this doesn't fill him up!)
I actually managed to get back into meal planning and have done the next two weeks and put it on the calendar. Finally!
ETA - Just checked my BMI and it's 23 :j (well, 22.97 actually). Really happy about that!June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

Morning all, have STS this week after recovering from all the bugs we have had, so will have to knuckle down and get back into it. Have already hit my first target of 14lbs so any extra between now and Easter is a bonus. I am determined to get that extra 6 lbs off too.
Breakfast: cheerios + ss milk
Lunch: Poached eggs on toast
Dinner: soup and a roll
Snacks: Banana, strawb yog
Drinks: water
Have a lovely day and gl with the WI's

Hi everyone,
Well, I have done a broad menu plan idea as follows:
Mon: cereal/porridge, soup, leftovers
Tue: cereal/porridge, sandwich, vege
Wed: cereal/porridge, salad, chicken, make snacks
Thu: cereal/porridge, salad, pasta
Fri: cereal/porridge, sandwich, pork, make smoothie
Sat: pancakes/grill, wrap, bean/lentil, cake/flapjack
Sun: toast, soup, beef/batch, make biscuits/dessert
So that's my basis at the mo. Not following a diet, but will be topping up with lots of fruit, padding out with lots of veg, and watching portion sizes. We'll see how it goes.
So today, having a ham/salad sarnie for lunch, and bangers mash and beans for dinner, had toast for breakfast this morning as had run out of milk.:o
Have a good day

Morning everyone,
Oh dear, oh dear, reporting a 1lb gain. I know exactly where I went wrong - not sticking to meal plan and haphazardly eating the first thing that came to hand and the quickest thing to cook.
Also have to own up this week to having some chocolate, wine and one evening a couple of large peach schnapps on ice - darn it knew I shouldn't have had the ice, it gets me every time.
Don't know whether I was getting a bit complacent or just thinking to H*ll with the it. But like some others I'm drawing a line under this week and starting today with some new determination.
B - Boiled Egg & Oatcakes
L - Salad with Tinned Salmon
D - Quiche (using up veg lurking in the fridge) Broccoli & CarrotsJan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
July - Grocery spends = £119.54
Aug - Grocery spends = £42.190 -
Good morning all and well done to all those who have lost this week (my weigh day is sunday but i'm not too hopeful.)
I was planning on going to prezzo tonight to spend our tesco vouchers but have been doing some research and was shocked to find that the arrosto salad I love is 850 cals! Couple that with the nachos and bread OH and I usually share and you're looking at a ridiculously calorific meal. I can't believe how ignorant I used to be about food.
So I think I will still go but will swap to one of the lighter 400 cal pastas. Hope everyone has a great weekend. xxx0 -
Belated good morning all
Not too unhappy that this week I've STS, was really to be expected after all the meals out. In fact surprised I haven't gone up! Just made a chocolate mousse for guests pud tomorrow, using two bowls, a ladle and a spatula - needless to say I don't feel too well now
B - F&F, ss milk
D - if I dare after the above, a prawn & yogurt wrap
T - 3 crackerbread w/vegemite, cheese/pickle, marmalade
Snacks - pineapple, melon, satsuma
Exercise - 20 mins pulm, lots of housework ready for guests. Strange how it jumps out at you when people are coming yet on ordinary days the mess is invisible
Just checked BMI which 26.4, still overweight but better than the obese 31.7 it was when I started last Sept. Getting there
Hope you're enjoying this lovely sunshine0 -

I'm going to try to be back to the basics from Monday and give myself a mini challenge to lose 4lbs by the end of March...
A really good idea. Im going to aim for 4 lbs loss in March too. I think I was aiming too high but feel that a smaller loss might be achievable xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0
