Evening All,
Well done all those who have lost weight this week. I am still not weighing till after my run on Sunday. Thanks for the good luck wishes for the run KIWISAVER. I have woken up with a slight cold which has then steadily got worse as the day progressed so I am hoping I can get it over with before then as I am not sure how it might affect me. I spent an hour in a nice hot steamy bath this afternoon and am going to have an early night in the hope I can beat it. I bought 12 'Woman and Home' magazines in the charity shop this afternoon (only £2.50) so am going to retire to bed with them shortly.
Glad you liked the sound of the meal plan RAGZ. I fed the spinach cooked with garlic, mushrooms and onions to DGD (aged 2) the other day and she wolfed it down and kept saying 'More spinach please' which was great.
B: Muesli with extra sultanas and full fat milk
L: Poached egg on toast. Stewed plums with Greek yoghurtChicken thigh with skin removed, 1/2 jacket potato, peas, mashed swede. 2 small pears
Exercise: 1 hour Stability ball class which was great fun and early this morning before my cold had taken hold. Walk with friend and her dog plus a couple of short walks so about 4 miles altogether.

B - nil
D - antipasto, chill beef and jackets, chocolate mousse
T - very doubtful I'll manage anything after the above
Snacks - melon, grapes
Exercise - 15 mins pulm/step, then running around like a headless chicken wondering if I've forgotten anything!
Have a super day, not raining here - yet0 -
Hi everyone, well its pouring with rain here so after doing some tidying/light housework I've been checking out the freezer supplies for my menu plan, although I have a good selection of frozen meats I'm determined to use up the already cooked stuff before doing some more batch cooking. Thankfully I am down to 3 x pork curry, 2 x Tamarind chickpeas, 2 x beef stew.
I get so bored just re-heating food and desperately want to do some cooking and try out some new recipes. Speaking of which - JBD I noticed you had Lentil Burgers one evening would you be prepared to share your recipe?
Anyway today is a boring old re-heating day
B – Fruit & yoghurt
L – Soup from freezer, toast
D – Tamarind Chickpeas, cucumber raita, poppadum’sJan - June Grocery spends = £531.61

Afternoon All,
A quick post before I go and have a lie down on the sofa whilst DGD has her rest. I have her today as I can't tomorrow so DDiL managed to swap her day at work. I shall have to take DGD up to work with me at 5pm and do a hand over - the joys of a family business. I still have my cold so feel a bit rough but am hoping I shall be ok tomorrow for my run.
B: Muesli with extra sultanas and full fat milk
L: Boiled egg with soldiers. Raspberries with Greek yoghurt.
T: (to take to work) Prawn salad wrap.
Exercise: Very little. I took DGD for a walk to the library and back earlier but as it was at a 2 year old's pace was hardly taxing.

LOL, it's not really a recipe. Just something I saw on another forum and adapted.
To make 1 burger -
2 heaped tablespoons of [uncooked ]red lentils. Cover the lentils with cold water and simmer for 15/20 minutes until soft and mushy. You need to get them as dry as possible.
Mash up and add 1 teaspoon of chunky peanut butter, salt and pepper, and either a pinch of dried mixed herbs or a pinch of whatever spice you like. [ I used cumin last time]. Just experiment !
Allow it to cool and get firmer and shape into a burger [or sausage shape if you wish]. If it is too sloppy then add a few wholemeal breadcrumbs. Fry in spray oil [they are easier to fry if you chill them 1st].
Serve with whatever you fancy!0
