Well done The Goose, that's fab!

I am still eating loads, I have a cold now which explains why I have been really hungry, I guess if my body needs it I should just try to make sure I eat good things not junk. Best start now then...

Morning , Its a much better day here today, the sun is up early, which makes me feel much more cheerful, so a big washing day ahead methinks.

Yesterday was one of those days when I found it difficult to get motivated to do very much and meal wise a bit of a "picky" day using up bits and pieces.

    Today is much more organised
    B – Banana on toast x 2
L – Tinned Salmon, mixed salad.
D – Sweet & sour lentil dhal with grilled aubergine - this is a new recipe to me but only 325 cals per portion so should be able to squeeze in a dessert too :j

Need 2 b thrifty, I would love your recipe for the sweet and sour lentil dahl with aubergine - that sounds gorgeous!

    Plan for today:
    B: cereal bar and banana
L: Seeded roll with 2 slices of quorn ham, leaf salad, cherry tomatoes and a little bit mayo. Yogurt.
D: quorn escalope, mash and green beans (trying to use up what's in my freezer before getting food shop this weekend.)
Snacks: fruit, maybe some hummus if hungry after tea.

I was back at the gym last night and getting back in to it after the foot injury. Still very fit but managed to row 1000 metres, do 10 mins on bike and lots of weights so it's a start.

Sounds like this recipe from good food site. Which I have just realised is the reason I bought a jar of Tamarind paste last year! Now I can use it! Thanks guys!

Thats the one Ragz. I bought a jar of tamarind paste ages ago and it was Gardenia101 who got me into using it, (whats happened to her havent seen any posts for a while). I havent tried the recipe before but I'm on a mission to eat more lentils etc and use up store-cupboard stuff. Will let you know what its like.

Just finished my Sweet & Sour Lentil Dhal with Aubergines, I really enjoyed it, quite different from any other dhal I have made, you can definitely taste the tamarind flavour. I had it with pitta bread instead of rice, some mango chutney and my home made date & apricot chutney, nom nom.

The aubergine didn't really add anything to the dish so will probably miss them out next time.
