Breakfast - shreddies.
Lunch - 3 very small rolls with hummus, lettuce and pepper. An avocado. Carton of orange juice.
Tea - gammon, roast potatoes and parnips and peas. Bigger son made some biscuits so had some of those afterwards.0 -

I am off to a training course tomorrow, we've been promised bacon rolls at the start and cream cakes at the end  I've spent all week thinking of lovely fresh white rolls, a spread of butter and a couple of bits!
I am going to earn the bacon roll by going to the gym bright and early tomorrow morning. I do have the oddest of all cravings today though - I've been itching to do some squats all day! Couldn't make it to the gym though, I ended up working too late, and have more work to do now I'm home!0 -

Well I forgot to weigh in this morning, and had fish and chips AGAIN last night. It tasted great (I really very rarely eat that sort of thing - all my food anyway is HM, non-processed, even if I eat a lot of it sometimes!) but I feel suitably guilty this morning.
I will weigh in tomorrow and it will be a gain no doubt, but ah well, that is the way it is!
Only 13 days left now of exams and essays. I would love to say that the reason I got the fish and chips 2 nights in a row is down to stress, but I actually feel more like it is down to not eating enough throughout the day. The first day was for a treat as I really fancied it, yesterday it was good but a bit pointless. I should have saved the £3.90 (very cheap for very good quality) for another time.
I think what I will start is putting a bit of money in a pot for takeaways etc... for example, if I am craving one, putting a pound in to a pot and saying that it is going towards it not before a certain date. Anyone tried this or anything similar?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
pablakeman...for what its worth i think u are being a bit hard on yourself...if the fish and chips were your tea i cant really see a massive problem with it...worse i would have thought would be to have a low cal meal for tea and then eat a cheeky takeaway later on....if u want to feel more in control plan the takeaway visits eg once a month and dont go on a whim....perhaps u need to spread out your calories and eat a few more during the day
good luck with exams...stress and dieting isnt a good combo so dont be too hard on yourself

Yeah this is the sort of thing I will do. I don't normally go to a takeaway anyway. I don't even necessarily consider it a treat to be honest - I normally go for burger and chips, and my HM burger and HM wedges is much nicer and a bit cheaper! But I am planning to start eating more throughout the day for next 2 weeks even if this means I am not losing. Would be nice to still lose a bit, but priority has to be exams of course!

Cheese and beer, bacon sandwiches, fish n chips - nowt wrong with giving yourself a treat once in a while, as long as it is only once in a while. My wi day is Friday and no matter how well (or not) my week has gone I give myself a treat at sometime over the weekend otherwise I'd have nothing to look forward to, eating would get very dull, and I'd more than likely just throw in the towel and pig out completely.
Having said which can you put me down for an STS this week please KW. Very little exercise due to lungs misbehaving but doing what I can in the good moments
B - slice toast with rf spread and 1/2 banana
D - salad with pulled pork. Amazed at how easy it was to do in the sc
T - 3 crackerbread 1xvegemite, 1xa crumble of Stilton, 1xmarmalade
S - melon, celery
E 2x5 mins done, will try for at least 3 more throughout the day0 -

You get a card that tracks everything you do and tells you your calories at the end. Apparently I burned 497 calories (plus there were some exercises I couldn't record, so assuming it would have come in on 600-700). I don't for a second think I've burned 500+ calories though, and wish it would give me a more accurate idea. If I see I've earned 500 calories, I might eat 300 worth of snacks, when in reality I only earned 200 worth. Might just try to ignore it completely!
I have a heart rate monitor. If I compare what that tells me to the gym machines or MyFitnessPal etc, they're usually out by 50%
Just assume you've burned less than you think (unless bones start to show)
