I'm certainly hoping it will stay off this time, as I'm another expert at putting it back on again, lol! I started my latest weight loss journey exactly a year ago today, so mine is coming off a lot slower than I expected, but I've learnt a lot over the past year and I finally know what is meant by 'diets don't work'.
Today:-
B bran flakes with sultanas and skimmed milk
L 2 crispbreads with low fat cheese
D HM cottage pie with cauliflower
S 3 low cal cereal bars, the last 39g of my choc bunny (still got the thornton's one, and half an easter egg to get through!)
E 30 minutes of walking, 10 minutes aerobics, an hour sorting out the spare roomWeight loss challenge 2/10lbs

I'm ashamed to say I've got some rather nice clothes with the labels still on them in my bags to go out. Never ever again am I buying anything which doesn't fit *right now*...no more thinking "oh, I'll diet into it"
I do this far too often! If it doesn't fit from the shop shelf, I won't waste my money on it, but I love shopping in charity shops, and keep coming home with lovely clothes that I swear I'll slim into. I have a whole box full, and I've not yet managed to slim into a single item! Must implement this rule!pablakeman wrote: »Unofficial weight-in this morning brought me out at the same as my sig, so, seems to be that all is back to normal! Nights out with alcohol and the ensuing hangover day are terrible! I think the water imbalances it, and more so, I eat a weeks worth of food on the night/the next day! But that is life!
Unfortunately have to confess to having one of these at the weekendIt is probably terrible that I pre-planned for having a hangover day, and bought a mince pastie on Saturday ready for hangover Sunday
I didn't have a massive hangover, but I knew I would be tired as well, and therefore need something to fill the 'energy' cravings.
The hangover followed a BBQ and mini pool party with friends. The photos appeared on facebook yesterday, and I look like a sack of potatoes! I look a lot chubbier in the photos than I thought I was as well, which has me a little down. I'm working on making myself use it as a motivational tool, rather than getting down and comfort eating!0 -
Weigh in day for me. A rubbish 0.5 on
I've tried really hard this week but it's been tough with birthday parties one after another.
I'm not letting it get me down, hoping for a good loss this week.Started Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

minicooper I used to buy like that in charity shops too
Now I don't look very often, and try to be more discerning when I do...it helps that my new mantra is "I have enough stuff already".
Re photos...I think we always look bigger in photos, must be something to do with them being 2 dimensional or something..."camera adds 10lbs", remember
Had a good day foodwise, stopped at 1250 cals, and managed an hours walk as well.
Totally unrelated, you mentioning BBQs made me recall the book I'm reading at nights, a detective/serial murderer one...the two people who work in the mortuary and do the post mortems were discussing how they couldn't stand going to BBQs because the sight and smell of the pork cooking reminded them of victims in the mortuary...puts a whole new slant on BBQs, doesn't it?
If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?0 -
Love the idea of "dinner side" and "pudding side"
...that explains it perfectly, my pudding side has been missing out recently.
Re the trousers...if it's just the button which doesn't fasten is there room on the waist band to sew on a button a little further over?
I've done this occasionally for both reasons, too tight and too loose...if you've a top over them no-one can see
The dinner side and pudding side were 'invented' when the children were little, it's one of those family saying's that stuck.
The button is actually one of those fixed metal stud things so it can't be moved but I've just been told the elastic band trick which I'll try. And I have quite a few tops which will cover it comfortably

Back on track last couple of days, don't expect a major loss this week but with exams/essays on at the moment I am struggling to be honest. Only 2 weeks and a day to go now of exams, and I am only half a stone or so off my target weight, which should be easy enough to get off before July, he says....Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Had a gym induction this evening, almost like a mini personal training session, so I have lots of new tips for floor exercises. Though my sack of potatoes feeling was not helped by spending 90 mins staring at my bingo wings doing lifts in a mirror
You get a card that tracks everything you do and tells you your calories at the end. Apparently I burned 497 calories (plus there were some exercises I couldn't record, so assuming it would have come in on 600-700). I don't for a second think I've burned 500+ calories though, and wish it would give me a more accurate idea. If I see I've earned 500 calories, I might eat 300 worth of snacks, when in reality I only earned 200 worth. Might just try to ignore it completely!0 -
Has anyone here found that, after a week of cutting out added sugar, they had a horrible taste in their mouth?!
Anyway, meals for today:
Breakfast - shreddies.
Lunch - small bowl of cous cous, tomato, pepper and avocado (left over from last night). Banana, orange juice
Tea - Plain pizza to which I added some chicken. HM potato wedges (baked in the oven) and carrots.
To drink - 4 cups of tea, 1 carton of orange juice, glass of water, 2 cups of fennel tea.0
