    Evening all,

Just thought I would pop in and say how proud I am of myself.
It was my grandsons 5 th birthday party today, 30 kids in a church hall:eek:. I love party food, especially birthday cake with icing and I was mainly responsible for preparation. I didn't touch a thing, not even a crumb of birthday cake, not even a batman cupcake with blue icing. This was a massive thing for me, huge and I can honestly say I wasn't even tempted.
I'm so on track just now, I really feel I may get to goal:D

Stood on the scales this morning, and I'm 2lbs less than on Friday!
Unfortunately it's not a real loss, I had a very dodgy tummy yesterday, it ached something awful all day, so was too scared to eat anything while out (the old thing of no toilets while at work)

I had muesli at 6am, then more muesli at 5pm while waiting for boys and their friend to come home. I thought they would be eating with me, but they all decided at about 7.30pm to eat at the friends.
I don't know why I bother waiting on them (well maybe I do, it's the thought they might bring pizza home :o...I hate it when I've had my healthy salad and then they turn up with pizza, I feel like I've missed out :rotfl:)

Anyway, no pizza, and I had a very silly plate of rice pudding so that I wasn't going to bed hungry.

Was meant to be car booting today but it looked too wet. of course, now that I've made the decision not to go, it's brightening up a bit! Will probably take it all to the charity shop next week, begrudging the money a bit though, would have quite liked to sell some of it :(

That's mega impressive zippy, well done :T

Are you going to celebrate? Doesn't have to be food, an evening out, or something nice to wear maybe?

Thank you everyone, I'm still smiling :) I'd not thought to celebrate, I thought it would take me a couple more weeks so a big surprise stepping on the scales. I have 9lb to go so will think of something nice for then :)

It does feel a waste giving away good clothes, I've given most of mine stuff to the charity shop too just so it's out of the house quickly, I take the m&s stuff to Oxfam though to get their £5 recycle voucher I can at least put that towards new undies.

I made some nice muffins yesterday with aldi's 59p rhubarb, lowish fat and 213 calories each, which could be lowered as I'll use less sugar in the crumble topping next time I think and try with raspberries.

I would say getting to your target after doing so well merits a proper treat. Without knowing your circumstances (like kids, work, finances), if it was me I'd be thinking of a weekend away, with some nice walks during the day and meals in the evening.
In fact, you're giving me ideas :)

I'm ashamed to say I've got some rather nice clothes with the labels still on them in my bags to go out. Never ever again am I buying anything which doesn't fit *right now*...no more thinking "oh, I'll diet into it"
Some of it just got too big before I ever wore it.
I know I used to think that finding the perfect item would make me look good..I've finally realised that that's just silly, and there's nothing wrong with what I already have.

Car boot or no car boot, it's all going...my newly decorated bedroom doesn't need a stuffed full wardrobe :)
I've re-educated myself about clothes...I buy very little now. The only thing I'll need to buy the rest of this year is underwear. :)

The ice cream van has stopped right outside my house...I'm ignoring it!

I've also got some clothes that didn't 'quite' fit when I got them home from the shop but no way was I going back to get the next size up

I tried a few on the other day and they're now a bit baggy but I'm determined to wear them at least once before I pass them to the charity shop :rotfl:

My work pants are seriously worrying me now though...they are at the point that if I walk upstairs or run for the bus I have to hold them up as I'm positive they're going to fall down at any minute!! I have 3 pairs of the next size down, but they're not comfortable enough to wear all day yet :(
