I've been really bad about remembering to post here so will pull my socks up and start again on Friday.... I'm out for dinner tonight and tomorrow so I'm going to keep quiet until they are over :D
I've been really cranking up the exercise, a good 1.5 hrs a day, and I'm really happy to report I've dropped a jean size and NO muffin top!! Yay!
    Good luck all x

Where is everyone today...are you all in the gym? :rotfl:

    Actually, Yes!

I was very proud of myself this morning, I woke up an hour early, spent an hour at the gym, and still made it to work half an hour early! I'd happily do it again. It ended up being the kind of long day at work that I'd normally just go home, but I had already been! Only down side was, at 10.30, my stomach was asking where lunch was :rotfl:

I emailed the local gym over the weekend, and had a reply this morning. What do you all think of the prices?

£48 pp for peak membership-you can use the gym, sauna, pool, Jacuzzi, steam room, any of the fitness classes at anytime, 7 days a week

    OR

£36 pp for off peak membership- You can use all of the facilities listed above, Mon-Fri, up to 5pm.

It'll also be £6pm and £8pm for my children to have unlimited use of the pool and tennis courts.

Difficult to comment, because I work 9-5 mon-fri, but I think it's worth paying the £48 for any time membership. You can take the kids swimming on a Saturday if you have nothing else to do, so that will pay for itself.

It's all relative really. Personally I couldn't afford that, £48 is about what I spend on food for a month! But if you're earning enough to cover it then as long as you use it regularly (and the children do too if you include payment for them) it's probably worthwhile. It might be worth looking around and seeing what other places charge before making a decision.

    B - F&F, 1/2 banana, ff Greek yogurt
L - beetroot sandwich on wm, 1 slice spread with ff yogurt, the other rf mayo
D - rf cheese and cucumber sandwich, spreads as above
S - 1/2 banana, handful grapes, last square millionaires shortbread, slice melon
    E - 5x6 mins with Mr W

    Sweet dreams :)

I've been Money Tipped! Debt-free and Proud!
Thanks for the advice re membership.

I can definitely afford it, and the hours and classes suit me really well. Its the closest one to me, and the other nearest if 30mins away from where I live, which makes fitting in sessions quite difficult.

I'll still continue looking around though. They are offering a free day at the facilities to see if I want to join, so i'll take up that offer too.

    Thanks :)

Set the alarm and got up early as I had an appointment and was just leaving home when the person phoned to cancel . So took my 'energy' out on Mr W for 10 minutes and felt much better afterwards!

B - dry fried egg on plain wm toast with a squidge of brown sauce
D - salad with small jacket and grilled (rtc 9p) mackerel fillet
T - will be 3 sesame Ryvita with Vegemite, peanut butter, cheese & cucumber
S - celery, carrot, banana, tiny piece millionaires shortbread - making one slice last 4 days. Not easy!
    E - 1x10 mins, 5x6 mins with Mr W

Have a good rest of the day :)

Can anyone work out roughly how much wheat bran and wheatgerm you would need to add to basic flour to roughly equal wholemeal flour? The price of wholemeal compared to value plain is unbelievable but unfortunately my brain seems unable to compute how to work this out. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

Wheat consists of approximately 83% endosperm, 14.5% bran, and 2.5% germ by mass.

Then it seems to make sense to go for that one, not least because of what you'd save in petrol, and losing the will to go if you have to travel 30 mins each way. Enjoy the free day (I love free!)

Okay, it's my Roger Black treadmill, aka Mr Walker ;)

I must admit I thought the same at first, lol, then I thought maybe it's what I call Mr wii.

Well I have been quite good this week, not necessarily making the best choices food wise, but because of exercise I have managed to stay under my calorie goal every day, including Saturday and Sunday, which is something of a miracle, lol! I was really pleased at the weekend because I did some exercises, including crunches and push ups, and I managed 30 crunches followed by 20 push ups! When I first started losing weight, I could just about manage 5 push ups, and that was with a rest halfway, lol!

Last Sunday, OH and I went for another long walk, we were out for about 3 hours and walking for at least 2 and a half hours. Unfortunately my tracker app only recorded the first half of the walk, and I didn't realize until I got home ! OH had a 'helpful' suggestion, he said to go and do the walk again and then double what it said on the tracker, lol! He was very lucky to not end up wearing his soup, lol!

A few days ago one of our neighbours asked OH if I was ok, as he was worried that I'd lost weight due to being ill, then yesterday someone at work said she'd thought the same, and she was really pleased for me when I said that I'd been deliberately losing the weight.
