OK so I have been very naughty this week. Not managed to have even one good day. Binged at a bbq, ate loads of chocolate......
Now when starting a diet I find I have to first break bad habits. So this week I am aiming to have no chocolate and also make sure I have 3 proper meals. Been grazing too much this week- but not getting full.

Hi, I know I haven't been posting but I have been reading along. STS so far this challenge which I'm happy with because that's my main goal. Any loss would be a bonus! I'm a couple of pounds less than when I bought my dress for DD2's wedding (which is a week on Sunday) so that should all be fine.
Well done to everyone. Even if you've gained you are still here with us and still trying0 -

My mum puts grated carrot in it. I put chopped carrot, chopped peppers... I have put oats in before now- makes mince go further.
When I was a student I used to live on hm meat-free bolognese. I'd buy a big bag of onions and chop the lot. Freeze in little bags (freezer smells when you open if for first 2 days) Onions, peppers, sometimes carrot, 1/2 tin tomatoes, paprika, mixed herbs, squirt of tom puree, bit of garlic powder or paste. Stirred into a bit of pasta. Very cheap. DH demands meat in his tho lol. So I use 1/2 pack of mince to make a big batch of bolognese with lots of veg in it. Does dinner for all of us, next days lunch too and I freeze two plastic takeaway tubs of the bolognese too. Each of those will make two adult meals either as bolognese or goes even further as chilli with 1/2 tin kidney beans
(The other half of the mince becomes a pan of mince, in gravy with carrots and onions and peas to be served with mash and veg. One of DH's favourites)
I have had it mince-free another time but I have a part-time job and am very careful with money, so I like to spend a bit of money on good food, such as meat. I can't wait for Lidl's half price weekend over the bank holiday as mince will be £1!! I will be going down early Saturday morning before it all runs out.
Great idea about freezing it but unfortunately I only have a small draw in the freezer. When I move up to my new flat in a few months I am going to make sure I rent a place with a very sizeable freezer! Next time I do it I want to add beetroot and peas to it as well to make it a 5 a day meal. Along with my pudding of yoghurt banana and grape drizzled in honey, I hope I will be quite the model sutdent!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Hello everyone. Back from my hols yesterday, 2 weeks in lovely sunny Cyprus. I crossed my fingers when I got on the scales this morning but I'm sorry to say that it didn't help. Its + 6lbs this week. Hopefully back on track this week.
Hope everyone had a happy easter0 -

Just had to agree with the breaking bad habits first Fluffysox, that's exactly what I have to do too-although not being very successful with it at the moment!

Hello, had a reasonable rather than perfect day I think. I'd really lowered amount of carbs I was eating to help keep blood sugar down but done rubbish on that today, will try and plan for the weekend more.
B: banana
L 2 slices wholemeal toast, beans, reduced fat Clover, small amount chorizo
T 2 white rolls, chorizo, reduced fat chorizo
Snacks satsuma, piece of bread, lowered fat Clover, onion bhaji -- small one, left over, shop bought not from a restaurant!
drinks water
E half hour swim, half hour workout at gym.0 -
A loss of 0.5lb today for me please KW. Better than nothing, not getting disheartened but need to push on as I'm away in 5 weeks and don't want to look like the whale on the beach
B - 2 slices toasted Danish, 1/2 banana
D - 1/2 gammon steak, cauli leaves, jacket, cheese sauce
T - 3 pancakes with lemon & sugar
S - none
E - 4x6mins on treadmill
A lack of f&v today, need to go shopping but trying to hold out as long as possible.
Have a good rest of the evening.0 -
While trying to decide what I'm wearing when I go out tomorrow, I found that most of my 'best' trousers, which I've been trying to slim down into are now too big, so they are now ready for going to CS, although I might try them on ebay first as they've hardly been worn and one pair is brand new, with tags still on. My slim fitting size 12's are almost wearable, but I daren't wear them tomorrow as I can just about do them up, and will probably split them after I've eaten, lol!
Yay :T well done you!
I can't bring myself to eat a whole egg in one sitting, I just start to feel sick! But hopefully I can make the last half last a couple of days...
This morning I had put on just over 1lb, so will round down to 1lb gain please knit witch.
I'm experimenting at making almond milk tonight to go in my porridge tomorrow. It looks good, but I've never tasted almond !ilk before, and don't know what it should taste like. Slight flaw in the plan, but at least I won't know if I got it horribly wrong!0 -

I was going to say "tell me more" but then remembered I am NOT to buy any more food til next weekend :rotfl: Do Lidl do them often? How did you find out about it?
I am also one to stretch my meat out. I used to buy a Lidl smoked pork sausage (99p) and cook that into a bolognese instead of mince (or you can add it as an extra and use less mince). A third can last 2-3 meals. The rest goes great through stir fries or fried rice. It's a little fatty, but because you eek it out a lot, it's not as bad as it should be!
Waitrose do a really great 10 bean mix for £1.20, which is great for chillli! I use around 1/4 of a pack of mince, a handful of lentils, a fifth of the bean mix, and then add a tin of kidney beans to get at least 8 portions of chilli. It's very healthy too
EDIT: just read back and realised it is next weekend :rotfl: good grief I think I'll go to bed before I strain something :rotfl:0
