Do you count or weigh the bran flakes? Sounds tedious, but I have become almost as meticulous with all my food now, weighed and acounted for to the gram!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. I never actually really left I dont think :rotfl: I have been seesawing back and forth between this weight and that weight for like five months now!
Christmas was surprisingly good to me, I slimmed right down to 12st 2 (the lightest I had been in over a year) but that was due to A LOT of running around at work.
At the moment I'm back at some (slightly heavier) other weight but I have no idea what that is, I pigged out over Easter thanks to the (new) boyfriend leaving me in a puddle of chocolate even though I said to him "I only want a little something, not too much as I'm trying to lose the pounds..."
And of course I had to eat what he bought because otherwise it looked like I didnt appreciate what he had bought......:mad:0 -
Welcome back TG, good to see you
. Sounds like a lovely bf but you'll have to teach him about 'all things in moderation'
Brunch - btl and a cuppa in sainsbugs while shopping with DD
Late lunch - 2 slices crackerbread with peanut butter/vegemite, apple
D - grilled pork belly strips, cauliflower, new potatoes
S - celery, carrot batons
E - mowed lawn, hand washing, 2x6 mins with Mr W, try for 3 more as out this evening
Have a good rest of the day0 -
Just got back from dropping DS1 at uni. We stopped for lunch at a service station which meant naughty food ofc. I'm going to post today's meals now as I know what I'm making for dinner, and if I don't do it now I might forget!
B: branflakes, raisins and almonds
L: KFCtomato and mushroom pasta
Snacks: 4 Jaffa cakes
I have done 55mins of exercise already today, and will do anothe 30 mins tonight with DH.
Have a good day all!0 -

Hi all,
Much better day for me today, managed to stick to plan (mostly!) and came in at 1715 cals according to Food Focus. Quite pleased as it's progress from yesterday and at least I'm moving forward. Must keep up the good work....
All the best
PJ
P.S. Thanks for all the lovely welcome messages. :T0 -
Hello, I've come to ask if I can join in please thanks to a kind recommendation from tessie bear.
Forgive me, this is going to be long.
I would like to join the challenge please, with an aim of losing another 10lbs in the coming weeks.
ETA: I'm planning on weighing myself every six weeks as I have a tendency to build up expectations and when the scales show something I'm not impressed with, that can lead to me being more negative than I'd like which can ruin good intentions. Over 6 weeks I'm hoping natural fluctuations can even themselves out.
I've been a yo-yo dieter for most of my adult life and have been ill on and off in the last couple of years and done a LOT of comfort eating, I don't think there's much doubt that my physical health has suffered because of the mental anguish of losing my husband far too young and unfortunately, I have not been in the 'right place' to seriously tackle my weight, I am now on medication for diabetes but have been clearly told that if I lose weight this will change things drastically. I've had whooping cough, pneumonia and post traumatic stress disorder -- blimmin 'eck I realise this makes me sound a barrel of laughs
I have lost weight with WW in the past and have a free pass to go but I feel I have learned more about healthy eating and am doing it my own way now with what I would consider a massive shift in my eating habits and none of of the diet/binge cycle I have been stuck in in the past. Six weeks ago I was told I had signs of kidney disease (this was 3 days after losing our lovely little rescue dog from it and I was reeling from the shock and stressed to hell over what to tell my daughters so not to worry them, bless 'em.) In that instant I got the kick I needed and since then I have lost 10lbs, I have another 67 to go
Turned out I was anaemic and don't have kidney disease so I have had a course of injections of B12 vitamin which has given me more energy and left me feeling more ready for loads of exercise. I have been working out, swimming and walking. I will do it. I am being kind to myself and if I have a day where I don't do as well as I think I would like, I refuse to beat myself up, I know food isn't 'naughty' and that if I have a blip it's down to habits built up over the years. I have also understood at last that I have to reduce sugar levels rather than thinking something is good because it's got low fat content and that simple, unprocessed fresh food is the way to go.
This is what I have had today:
B: Variety pack serving Crunchy Nut -- cereal available at meeting I was at very early, also small serving dish of fresh fruit.
S: Banana
L: 3 small slices fresh white bread, chorizo, green salad, sains fromage frais.
S: Satsuma, 2x falafel bites, few walnuts
T: Roast turkey dinner -- brocolli, cauli, baby sweetcorn, cranberry sauce, gravy, 2 small roasters
Drinks -- water.
E: None but I have been racing round a bit between home and work...
In my WW days I would have thought this was a terrible day, eating far too much, but I can see now from a nutrition point of view, it's pretty good, so feel okay about it.
So there you go, looking forward to hopefully being a part of this thread, wishing you all great success in reaching your weight loss goals and being kind to yourself along the way. I know that's what I need xx0
