Ermmm...is a chicken kebab better than a pizza? I didn't eat most of the pitta bread thingy (and it comes with salad!) :o

I would think so if the meat is grilled. Pizza is fattening because of all that (lovely) cheese.

Northwest did you enjoy the cake. Recipe please x

Had my first ever Zumba class this morning. Have definitely eaten more today. MFP says I'm still under by 250 cals if I count the exercise. It was fun, hope to go every week- however just starting to hurt.... everywhere lol.
Had a fish finger butty for lunch. Two fish fingers on one slice of bread. Was trying to be good-'but ruined it by eating a chocolate biscuit afterwards. Also was given a box of chocolates today!

Can we (I) have the recipe please :D

    It's my own recipe!
8oz Sultanas or Raisins (TBH, you could use apricots/apple, dates whatever - just watch the sugar content of dates)
    8oz SR flour
    7oz Oats
1 egg (tried with 2, but last 1 was made with just 1 - its OK)
    Juice of whole Orange
    Mixed spice OR cinnamon

Soak the fruit in hot tea or just hot water, doesn't make much difference in taste. Leave for a couple hours
Mix all ingredients. Add enough water to make a cake like mixture.

Put into a tin with greaseproof. I then oil this (could use marg) If you dont it will stick to the paper as the cake has no fat in it.

Bake Gas 3 1hr 10. Check after an hour depending on your oven

It is really nice, as it doesn't have fat, it won't keep for too long. Here's my tip, slice when cold, wrap in cling film and freeze. That way I don't eat more than one bit !!

    :)

On a different note, the new wardrobes we built have mirrored doors...it is not a pretty sight, especially first thing in the morning...on the few occasions I look in a mirror I'm standing up and "all smoothed out", as it were...seeing myself sitting on the edge of the bed getting dressed  let's just say it's a very good reminder why I need to keep on this diet!

I know your pain! My OH's flat has a huge mirror wall opposite the shower. Only consolation with the bathroom is, I can turn the heat up and steam it away :rotfl:

north-west those muffin things look lovely!

    Welcome dandy-candy :)

I was in London at a ball last night, and we stopped for chinese on the way. The ball was good, had a few cocktails, and then had a full english at the hotel this morning. I wouldn't say this was a prime example of dieting!

Will spend the rest of my day planning out a healthy week to take my up to easter (I'll be away for 6 days, and expect a few meals out)

    Hello all
I'm here to join you if I may. My weight has always been a bit of a yoyo but the last 3 years its just gone up and up. I turned 40 last year and with aches and pains decided I must now really get my health and weight finally sorted.
I switched to a vegetarian diet in feb and started exercising daily, I've lost a few lbs since and felt I was really getting it together. Now the kids are on holiday eating in front of me all naughty things and DS1 is unwell and in hospital, and my will just hit the dirt. I stopped exercising and started eating junk, and now my belly has reappeared!
I don't think I can stick to this journey alone, and so would be very grateful if I can come along here for company with people going through this too!

Hi and welcome to the group.

I'm very pleased to report another 1lb loss this week, taking me to 8st 13lbs, the first time I've been under 9st in many years, as I usually make it to 9 and then start putting the weight back on.

Today OH and I went for a walk, which was a bit longer than intended as we hit a dead end at one point and had to go back and try another way, and we also popped in to see my dad on the way. Worn out and sore feet when we got home, but according to my tracker we walked almost 7 miles and I burned 563 calories! I must admit we had an ice lolly while we were out, but mine was only a cider lolly, so not as bad as OH's mint feast, lol!

I'm back in my bedroom at last :D
and after all the furniture moving this afternoon I tried something I've wanted to do for a while...I made a "chocolate brownie in a mug" in the microwave, and ate it with ice cream...it was very nice :o

To try and counteract it, I've had a salad this evening...finding it very hard to keep being strict with myself, I'm having 10 days or so on my own as DS1 is away, so no-one else to feed...I fancy trying some different things...thinking french onion tart tomorrow, cheese, pastry, oh dear, not very low cal :o

Just need some bedroom curtains now, going to be a bit exposed until I get some :rotfl:
