omg omg omg ...had a phone call from a firm I used to work for several years ago asking if I wanted any work!!!...because I'm just what they need apparently :D

Nothing confirmed yet, but if it works out, it'll be more hours and more money than the job I just lost...funny how things can turn round so suddenly, and all because I told people I met I was looking for more work. Keep all your fingers crossed I get taken on :D

(sorry, I know this is not weight related, but had to tell someone!)

JackieO fingers crossed for you too, well done on losing enough to get your op.

savesummore maybe your work colleagues don't want you to be the slimmest and hottest person there :)

If you all keep your fingers crossed you won't be able to eat so much :rotfl:

I couldn't eat any lunch after the phone call, my tummy had such giant butterflies in it, so might be under on calories today.
Planning chicken and hm wedges and veg tonight.

Pleased to say all the tradesmen have been and gone and arrived separately as well :)

Jackie-O amazing news! I really hope the op goes well, will be thinking of you!

ellie99 keeping everything crossed for you!

I don't work in a complaints team, but I have been handling a lot of complaints lately, and it's really depleting. I don't know how people do it. Yesterday a client shouted at me, and today I had a customer call me a liar and refer me to my manager, which is the second time in as many weeks. My manager thinks I've done nothing wrong, just that people want to take their frustrations out on someone.

Sorry for the rant. I'm in the sort of mood to comfort eat/down some wine, but if I let it out, I'll not need to! Managed to resist stopping off for a bottle of white on the way home...

Fab news Ellie and Jackie (don't know what the op is for but hope it goes well):j

Well I tried to sign up to MFP and my username was already taken. Anyway I put in my usual password for things like that and I already had an account. Set up and then not used 440 days previous lol. Must have been while I was losing weight before my wedding (Dec '11). Doh!:p
Anyway I have been using it so won't post everything I eat on here.
Will say that I am now alternating my breakfasts. 2 Weetabix with raisins one day and porridge with a teaspoon of jam the next.
Been loving beetroot (vacuum packed home bargains 29p) with salad or on a butty with a bit of grated mature cheddar. No marg required as it is nice and moist.
Also borrowed "A girl called Jack" (cookbook by blogger Jack Monroe) from the library and made her " 9p" Carrot, Onion & cumin kidney bean burgers. Served each burger in a pitta pocket. (Cut pitta bread into two. Pop in toaster and they open up like a little pouch with a bit of encouragement with a knife) with salad and a bit of spicy relish. Anyway I think they are lovely. DH said "ok for vegetarian food", so next time he's having beefburgers. I will make a bigger batch next time and freeze them in portions for me.
Next project is going to be falafel. Love them but never made them before. Might even make houmous too since chickpeas were 3 tins for £1
2016 MFW OPd £2000, 2015 MFW OPd 3000 then bought new bigger house with bigger mortgage.

    Hello
Please can I join you. I would like to lose about 10lb' s. I put on quite a bit of weight when I stopped smoking about 5 years ago, lost some and am now struggling with the last pounds. I have started to go out with OH and our dog each morning. I do have some mobility problems but do try not to let them stop me. I used to exercise on the WII may try to use it again. What I think I need is help from other people.
    Thank you

I heard them discussing that on R2 the other day - it sounded really good, a cheap recipe book that actually means cheap! I stumbled upon the 9p burgers before, hadn't twigged it was the same person, but they were really good! I will keep an eye out for the book now, thanks for sharing :)

Everyone sounds like they've been doing really well! :T

Last night (and today...) I fell off the healthy eating/money saving wagon. OH and I ended up not getting dinner until after 8pm and had a Dominos Pizza! :(

Not that bad moneywise as used the leftovers for lunch AND dinner today though!

OH has gone to the cinema tonight with friends (I was too tired to go) and will be eating out so I microwaved the pizza...

I tried to eat healthily the rest of the day:

    B - Toasted muffin & orange juice
L - 2 slices leftover pizza, Activia yoghurt
    D - 2 slices leftover pizza
E - None as so tired

Hoepfully I can eat better tomorrow! I really couldn't be bothered today!

Well done to everyone else for keeping up with it!
