    welcome BunnyJ

I do the same as you are...calorie counting, and recording on mfp, although I've been a bit lax lately - still recording, but is there any point when I'm overdoing the eating?
Promising to get back to it this challenge.

I've lost 25lbs since I joined mfp, so I'd say it's working for me.
I mostly just record my calories, I don't bother with the forums.
    And it's free :D

I made myself go for a 40 minute walk, and I've painted one cupboard :)

I took some bags of pennies to change at the bank...I weighed a bag before I put them in my pockets (yes, I'm obsessed :rotfl:)...they weighed about 3.8lbs, and they were heavy in my pockets!

Maybe we should all take a walk carrying, say 5 or 7 lbs, to make us appreciate what a difference losing a little bit of weight makes?
I only lost 4lbs on the last challenge, but I'm glad I'm not carrying those pennies around every day :D

If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?

So celebrated DH's birthday and Mothers' Day, with baby and toddler sleeping over at grandparents (2nd night off in 5 months). Friends of ours held a dinner party- lots of calories in the 3 course meal and the accompanying drinks. Sunday, neither of us were hungry so didn't eat much but did have some chocolate and a pina colada lol.
Anyway I knew it'd be a bit of binge this weekend but I have been better than I would have been pre-diet. So damage limited ;)

    Welcome and good luck Bunny!

    That's a fantastic idea!!! A good motivator ;)
When I think about losing a pound in a week it sounds like nothing but actually a pound is actually pretty heavy. 1/2 a bag of sugar. Cannot get my head round carrying the weight I've lost so far. 5.5 bags of sugar

Can I ask you folks who use MFP how it works. I tried to install the app a while back and it wanted to link to my facebook. I don't want it posting on my Newsfeed or anything?

Weighed two weeks ago, my five month old weighs 14 lbs and my nearly 3yr old weighs two stone (both are in the bottom 25% for weight) Definitely notice how much the baby weighs when he wants to stand up all the time lol.

They did that once when I was at SW - half a stone of sugar in a box, it's pretty heavy! The other one is to go grab 1 lb of lard next time you're in the supermarket so you can see how much it is (size and weight!)

You don't have to link to facebook, I set it up, and think you just have to look closely for the bit that doesn't link to fb. It might be better to set it up on a laptop and then install the app? Less easy to catch a button by mistake...

Edit: Meant to say hi to Bunnie J!

Also, went to my first pilates class yesterday. Someone was covering the class, and he usually does advanced classes. Didn't see much of a need to tone it down for a complete beginner! My abs feel like I've done hundreds of crunches today. It really hurts to sneeze, but I'm reminding myself it's good pain :)

Someone in work said yesterday I'd lost the equivalent of what her dog weighs, think it's a Labrador and she can't lift him, I does make you think doesn't it. To imagine it's not just lifting him I was carrying him around all day every day.

Welcome and good luck with you goal loss bunny j x I use mfp too, but not the app so can't help with that, but have to say I think it's great.
