Morning!
Just reporting my meals from yesterday:
B:!Instant coffee, splash whole milk, 3/4 tsp sugarValue porridge, whole milk, Tbsp honey
S: 1 choc muffin
L: 1/3 portion broccoli stilton soup
Mash potatoes + mixed salad (lettuce, carrots, tomatoes) -very random but they were leftovers that needed eating uptoad in the whole with steamed cauliflower and green beans. 1 large glass of red
MFP says -36
Savesummore - heaven knows what we are sold on a daily basis! Silly example: a friend of mine from Sicily was telling me the real Nero d'Avola wine comes from a really tiny plot (so to speak) and there is no way it can produce as many bottles as there are around the world!
*Just remembered! Had pineapple too after dinner..MFP -860 -

Sorry I have been absent, had internet issues at home. Since last time I weighed in I have lost another -1.5 pounds, taking my total up to 10 pounds lost since the start, very pleased with this:)0

sts again, but still pretty happy with that. Would love to lose a miraculous 1lb by next week but not expecting to!
I'm the same weight as I was when I bought the dress for my DD's wedding which is in 6 weeks time, so as long as I continue to sts it's all goodGoing out next week to get shoes and a bag. I never wear heels so the challenge is to find some shoes with a diddy little heel that still look dressy (and don't hurt). Wish me luck. I bought some for DS's wedding 2 years ago which I thought I had broken in and they crippled me on the day so they went to the charity shop.

sts this week & really pleased with myself
Life is very upside down at the moment & feeling like an extra in a Jeremy Kyle show.

Thanks for keeping track of us all Knitwitch
Been thinking a lot about the whole treat food issue. I definitely have more treats/ special meals at the weekend. Partly because DH is home late weeknights. When not on diet, weekends we always have at least one special brunch. Usually something involving bacon and/ or eggs. A meal that is more luxurious than in the week and usually alcohol with crisps, chocolate .....
Today I am having water instead of wine.
DS1 and I had strawberries and red grapes this morning, which felt special. (He had toast too)
DH and I had eggs & mushrooms fried with spray oil, grilled bacon, toast. He had 2 eggs I had one. He had 5 rashers of bacon, I had one (DS claimed the rest lol) We both had 2 rounds of wholemeal bread with flora light. Pre-diet I would have used more oil, butter for the mushrooms and had more bacon
Dinner: Steak, chips, salad, carrot sticks. 1/2 plate of salad (previously would be less) 1/2 sirloin steak- we had steak a few weeks ago and I froze 1/2 of mine. Chips, jackets on, microwaved then cooked in the Actifry with just spray oil. I take care not to cut too many so I get one handful only. (previously just used oven chips- these are so much tastier) Also I do a bit of wholegrain mustard in a bit of low fat mayo. (Used to have liberal measures of bbq sauce to dip flavourless chips and steak in)
Was craving chocolate and instead of eating a whole crunchie, I gave half to DH. (So less than 100 calories, and I tried to eat it as slowly as I could.
So my thinking is to try to look for better ways of having treat food? Its unsustainable to say we'll never enjoy food and drink at the weekend. Small changes add up. Still probably more calories than I use on a Saturday but not such a surplus that the rest of the week's efforts are undone?

Good luck finding the right pair of shoes Pollybear...that's the worst part of dressing up! Are you going to wear them in the house to check they don't hurt?

You're right to say it's unsustainable, I don't think I'll ever be able to stop having a bit extra at the weekend. And it's also a pleasure. When I get to the stage of wanting to maintain my weight, I intend to be stricter through the week and relax a bit at the weekend.
Having said that, I've been an idiot yesterday (and yes, I deserve the insult!) My meals were pretty ordinary, and the weekend will be takeaway-free, it's chocolates which were the problem.
I've ignored DS1s tin of chocolates since christmas, so why did I start eating them now? He doesn't want them, and I just nibbled lots of them yesterday. Do you find you don't get quite the same enjoyment from treats like that because there's a little voice in your head telling you you shouldn't be eating them?
There are some left...I either need to throw them away or pass them on to DF.
Feeling stressed this weekend, the house is in chaos with the decorating going on, even more stressful when it's DS1s and not my own belongings everywhere, I can't put his stuff out.
Tried to pick carpet yesterday...was sitting using my phone as a calculator working out how much a carpet would cost when DM came in and says "I don't know how you have all this time to sit in front of the TV through the day" Tried saying I like the TV on in the background sometimes and got told off for wasting electricity. Okay, she may have a point, but do I needing telling at my age???
(and I don't sit still all day , I helped empty a room, prepared it for painting, went to work, went to look at carpets..30 mile trip.. and cooked a meal...then ate chocolates
and that's why I also bought a bar of chocolate when I was out...not a large bar, just normal...think big red bus...
it's hiding in a drawer right now
If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?0 -
Hi
I'm another one who has 'treats' at the weekend, but for me the weekend starts friday night and ends sunday night
I'm trying hard to swap what I eat before I start to tackle the reasoning behind why I do it. Think this way I may stick to the weight loss as not depriving myself.
Friday nights used to be takeaway night normally an 8 inch pizza, cheesy chips and 10 onion rings  now if I want pizza its homemade on a naan bread, if it's chips I allow myself 12 chips and 3 onion rings, I still get to have the taste but way less calories.
I used to always have alcohol on weekends aswell, now I dont have it every week and when I do, I drink spirits rather than lager.
Sundays was always some form of roast dinner, by that I mean I didnt always bother with the veg and just have the roasties, yorkshire puds, meat and gravy :rotfl:....if I do one now it always starts with half a plate of veg.
This weekends been a bit of a mish mash as I was working late friday and yesterday so friday night was a sausage sandwich made with one bratwurst, took the same to work on saturday for lunch. Last night was jacket potato with tuna & mayo followed by chocolate and a couple of whiskeys....today was bagel for breakfast, mince & one dumpling for lunch and tea will be a salad. Have a small piece of marzipan and mince meat cake for afters.
I do want to get out of the habit of doing the 'naughty' food at weekends but cant see how to do it at the minute.0
