Have you ever had a look into Manuka Honey?
I don't take it daily, but I always have it in the house and spoon it out as soon as someone feels off colour, I give it to the animals too.
Well done everyone on losses and sts. Well done Elle meeting your personal goal :j
I meant to say earlier a funny that happened to me this week. I bumped into someone that knows my Mum, she did did a double take at my weight loss, said how great I looked etc, but then followed up with " I'll only say this as you've lost the weight, but I saw you last coming down the escalator in Asda with your Husband and I thought bless her she looks just like a pudding"
I probably did as I'm only short and was roundbut how rude are some people! She's not so little herself.
Not sure how I'll do this week as it's my youngests 18th so there will be cake and meals out, will have to be good until then and hope for a loss to see out the challenge.
Hope everyone has a good week x0 -
It is expensive though...I don't buy in the local shops, I search online and see what bargains I can find. Some firms reduce the price the more you buy, so last time I bought 6 jars and shared them with my mum. It's honey, so it's hardly likely to go off, is it?
Thanks for the reply
Yeah, I made a quick search on mse to find out info written by real people rather than marketing people and all I have found are comments from 2011 on the Aldi Manuka at £3.99..
Also, I have read about the "10+" feature to be looking at when buying the honey.
I'll give it some thinking and maybe consider it as a treat rather than include it in the Grocery budget!
Speak tomorrow people!! ...oh yes, and well done for this week!!!0 -
*Zippy* - I have a guy in front of me waiting and he just saw me bursting into a half-suppressed laugh. Sorry!! It was mainly 'cause you told/wrote it well!
She surely meant well, but didn't come out right!!And even if she didnt, it's good to have people noticing the difference! ..amd she is maybe wondering now what diet you have followed..:cool:0 -

I never buy less than "10"...and I don't put it in my grocery budget, it goes in "extras"... but I saw you last coming down the escalator in Asda with your Husband and I thought bless her she looks just like a pudding"

Oh my goodness, some people just open their mouths and don't care what comes out!!! How rude was she???
It did make me giggle though :rotfl:

Hi
Reporting back in from day 1 of my 5 day weekendbut
Me and OH drove down to Weston today so had a lovely 4 hours there which was sunny but windy!! So have done a fair amount of walking today!
Today:
B: 2 bacon rashers grilled, 1 small wholemeal toast, 2 eggs scrambled, spoon of tinned toms
S: 2 pear drops, 2 tiny satsumas, can of diet pop (ick!! not a pop fan!)
L: In we*therspoons- jacket potato, tuna and salad- 479 cals- not bad- a diet pop (again!)
T: Homemade (well from a jar lol) prawn, spinach and pea curry with brown rice and 1 white pitta
S: handful red grapes and just about to have 1/2 mint aero
I was going to have a beer (just one) but think ill just have a cuppa instead and save the calories
Manuka honey- i saw something on TV the other day (was only half listening!) that in Britain alone we eat more of this so called manuka honey than is produced in the whole world so id say just be careful you are actually getting what you are paying for!O/S weight loss 2.5 /10lbs (11st 8.0- 08.02)0 -
Hi everyone
1lb loss for me this week.

I've slipped up tonight...DS1 is emptying his bedroom ready for stage 2 of my decorating plans. He still has his tin of xmas chocolates, because, you know, he's not that bothered about eating them (do you think he was swapped at birth, can he really be my child? :rotfl:)
So I thought I've got enough calories left for 3 sweets...so far I've had 8!!! They're very more-ish, I think I may have to remove myself from the room, and get them out of the house tomorrow
