Yes, I'll know when I'm doing it...I think I'll still do it though!
It was quite a shock to realise that since my children were tiny I've been trying to make weekends nice for them because I felt bad that they didn't have their Dad there like all the other kids. I may be a bit screwed up, I'm lucky they've turned out so wellKnit_Witch wrote: »and yes next weekend is the final weigh in - so start thinking about your targets for next time around!
Are you SURE Knit Witch??? Can't you extend time a little bit, next weekend's too soon!
I'm really chuffed this morning, beaming from ear to ear (which is a slightly weird look in the bathroom naked first thing in the morning :rotfl:)
I have lost 1 lb today...which means I've hit a personal target I set myself.
When I started this challenge back in January 2013 my main aim was to get back down to the weight I was when my ex left (you know, thinking I didn't want to bump into him and look fatter! he was quite critical like that).
Of course, now that I've finally done it, I couldn't give a flying fig what he thinks of me any longer, but it's really nice to do it anyway
Now onwards to lose the rest of the weight and look even better...
savesummore...a 5 day weekend

Hello all, apologies that I have been MIA. Work has been horrendous but with a capital H.
Lovely to catch up (albeit briefly) with all your progress, can't believe how many smiley's are on KW's monitoring posts - well done :T
Since the start of the challenge, I have had some major ups and downs...lucky I haven't been posting, KW would have been adding and deleting all sorts of faces! So I started at 152lb, went up to 156lbs  and am now at 149lbs. I know it may not seem a big gain but I was determined never to go over 11stone EVER again and I did for a while. Kicked me back onto the wagon when I saw 11st 2lb on the scale, let me tell you!
So back on a stable weight and have signed up to a 10k :j at the end of april to keep the motivation going!
Hope everyone has a good weigh in :A:A:A0 -

Good morning lovely ladies!
Ellie99: sorry to read about what you have been through. It is good that you at least can see your friends in other occasions rather than the weekend.
I find it so easy to get caught up in things sometimes and fail to even make a 5 mins phone call to say hi! Let alone go and see someone!
Reporting a 0.4Kg loss. Less than a pound, more like 0.9lbs. Glad to say I have reached the 2kg loss I set myself 1 week before the 28th deadline..so that's good!
Yesterday food diary:
B: Instant coffee, splash whole milk, 3/4 tsp sugar
Value porridge, whole milk, Tbsp honey
S: apple
L: 1 small carrot + 2 small celery sticks (all very bendy)
Veggie indian curry on Mashed potatoes (needed to use those)chicken pasta bake with salad (lettuce, tomatoes, carrots)
E: 1 hour pilates class
MFP Says 196 calories remaining!
Today I have already eaten a choc muffin brought by colleague..will update properly tomorrow though
Have a nice day!!!0 -
Got a question!! Not sure whether to post it on here or on the GC challenge thread..I guess it would be ok on both?!
I have a Tbsp of honey morning with my porridge..I was thinking..is it worth buying Manuka Honey rather than Value £1.45 clear honey?
It is very expensive and I am not sure if it is one of those things - like Kamut flour, for example - that is sold as the healthiest, healing, life changing ingredient but in reality is just not worth the money..
Have you ever had a look into Manuka Honey?0 -

I'm a manuka honey fan.
I couldn't comment on the science behind it, but I still like taking a spoonful. I have one teaspoon a day, though I don't always remember.
I meet a lot of strangers at work, so am exposed to bugs like most of us are. I always wash my hands when I get home as a precaution. If I ever feel my throat getting a bit itchy, I take the honey. I don't remember when I last had a cold (or any other bug, come to that), think it was about 5 or 6 years ago.
My son who lives with me has had 2 colds over the winter, but I didn't catch anything from him, so I'm converted!
It is expensive though...I don't buy in the local shops, I search online and see what bargains I can find. Some firms reduce the price the more you buy, so last time I bought 6 jars and shared them with my mum. It's honey, so it's hardly likely to go off, is it?

Just checking in briefly from my 'executive room' in a Blackpool hotel - perhaps for this area it's executive but not what I'd call it, I've slept in more luxurious camp sites!
But the saving grace is the food is good so can't complain too much, even if it isn't exactly what we'd call healthy.
Arrived last night in time for
Dinner - pork chop, roast tatties, beans and carrots, followed by iced flapjack and cream.
Today so far -
B - muesli and grapefruit
L - bacon on toast
D - tba, whatever is on the menu
S - none
E - will be in the gym shortly for a session before dinner.
Hope everyone's keeping well 'back home', will post when I can. Take care0 -
Yay I saw my consultant yesterday and he has agreed to my op. in April. He is so pleased at how much I have lost over the past 6-9 months and that my BMI has dropped considerably.I am chuffed to bits as I hyave been on the list since July of last year for this operation.Onwards and upwards chums I will be a new me with a boob by the autumn
:):)
That's great news!I do weigh myself almost everyday (say 6 times out of 7), which I know is wrong for my mental sanity and does not tell much progress-wise. I should weigh myself less, maybe moving the scale out of the toilet.
I also weigh myself almost every day, although I keep telling myself that I shouldn't as it upsets me if I put on during the week. Maybe I'll have to move my scales out of the bathroom too, so I'm not tempted to use them so much.
Pleased to report another 1lb lost this week, 2 more pounds to go till my next half stone milestone. Well done to all the losers and STSr's.Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs
