Hi everyone
didn't get time to log in yesterday, but I lost 3lbs!!! VERY happy with that!
Looks like everyone is doing really well - great to seeSealed Pot no 20110 -
But have just googled falafel and have all the ingredients so I'm going to try making those next weekend...sound delicious!
Thank you!
I have even seen broad bean falafels!
Can you have them cold when cooked? I am thinking cold, in a wrap with salad and harissa yoghurt for hubbys lunch box:)Loved our trip to the West Coast USA. Death Valley is the place to go!0 -
Another 1lb off this week, despite not having a brilliant week food and exercise wise, lol!
Friday was bad, as we went out to dinner with MIL for her birthday, and I had a baileys cream and chocolate cheesecake with ice cream for dessert. Mind you I didn't have much to eat during the day, as I had a lot to do in the afternoon when I finished work, so didn't have time to have a proper lunch and just had 1 crispbread, so it wasn't as bad as it could have been, lol! Then yesterday it was my dad's 89th birthday, so we treated him to fish and chips, as he really likes that, and of course we had to join him in having a takeaway (I had sausage in batter and chips as I don't like fish), and we bought some bakewell tarts instead of a birthday cake!
I had a real boost while I was getting ready to go out on Friday. I tried on my 'mum' ring which my DS bought me, and hasn't fitted for years, and it slipped easily onto my finger! I was so pleased, and it is great to be wearing it again after so long, I was beginning to think it would never fit me again. Also when we met up with MIL, my SIL's first words were 'wow you've lost so much weight!'.
We didn't get our walk today, as it was really windy and raining, so I did about an hour and a half of exercise on the wii, (biggest loser) wearing my heart rate monitor, which burned 410 calories.Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs

Had a last minute night out last night, a friend i've not seen in a year was in town. Plied with a lot of booze, had pizza and chips on the way home...
Paid for it all today - very sick this morning, managed to nibble 2 bites of toast and am having to have another pizza tonight as it's the only thing I can face! It's 1000 calories, but that means my entire calorie intake for the day has been 1000. This has been my first big drinking night out and only about the third readymade meal i'm having since new year. It'll probably be summer before I have another one.0 -

:T I bet that made you smile, it's lovely that your family are noticing all your efforts.
I've been very good today, in fact perfect until I decided to finish last nights scrumptious ice cream...still coming in at about 1300 calories though, so happy with that.
Have hardly moved off my chair today...all plans were cancelled when we saw the gales and rain, it just wouldn't have been safe to do what we'd planned, so I've spent the day sorting out paperwork and doing the yuck jobs I keep putting off. Just need to phone the electric company *yet again* tomorrow.

At party: 1 salad batch, which had salad cream on, 1 chicken drumstick.3 veg fingers, some roasted butternut squash and sweet potato chunks. Rocket/ Watercress/ baby spinach salad leaves.

Weighed in this morning and have to admit to a 2lb gain. Entirely my own fault, I've lost the plot because I started to use the bread maker again. Why do I do it when it's just a self destruct button? (Having said which the total loss this week is twice my weight but I can honestly say I haven't contributed to it
)
B - missed
D - junior portion of 2 Lincolnshire sausages, peas and mash. 2 churros with a scoop of ice cream
T - slice of hm wm 1/2 with vegemite, 1/2 with apricot jam. Apple, nectarine and satsuma fruit salad
S - melon, 2 chocolates
Doesn't sound much but not getting any exercise is the biggest downfall. Seeing GP re blood test for ongoing anaemia in the morning so will see if he will let me go back to pulmonary rehab where exercises are done under supervision twice a week.
Sweet dreams0 -
Aw bless you, been there recently. Good night but the next day I suffered. Still we all need to let our hair down occasionally ;-)
Aww thanks - I'm not looking for sympathy, it was self inflicted after all! But yes, sometimes it's important to let your hair down to invigorate yourself, even if you don't feel particularly invigorated the next day...
Looking forward to a nice veggy stuffed stir fry tomorrow night. I will have no choice but to eat healthily for the rest of the week, my house is completely free of all junk at the moment.0 -

I wonder if we all have our own personal self destruct buttons, and if it contributes to why we are prone to weight gain? I know I have one!
sparrer, think of that little black dress waiting for you
take a photo of it and stick it on the cupboard where you keep the bread maker, or use the picture as your screen saver on your laptop.
My screen saver is several pairs of jeans in decreasing sizes, I'm aiming for the smallest pair
