Ooo I love chickpeas! You can make falafel, chickpea curry, put them through casseroles/soups, add them to chilli. I remember someone in my old SW group used to toss them in cumin and paprika, and then roast them for around half an hour. The problem with roasting them is that they become really moreish, and people used to eat a whole tin in one sitting, which obviously adds up to a lot of calories! Most people had to stop roasting them, because they ate too many of them.I do love baklava though, so at least I'll enjoy every mouthful.

Oh minicooper can you roast the canned chickpeas? Am i asking for trouble trying the roasted ones?
    Baklava oh my!! Drool!!!!!!!!!

We have just had chilli beef and chickpea casserole using shin beef and slow cooked all day- delicious. You should get the receipe if you google 'chilli beef & chickpea'

Other than that today hasnt been great

    S: satsuma

Yes please. Aiming for 7lb loss in remaining weeks. Is it 5/6 weeks left?

Ooo I love falafel. Stayed in a Youth Hostel in Wales a few years back and had the best falafel I've ever tasted. They were big and fluffy and so tasty. Served on green salad leaves with warm pitta bread cut like soldiers. Ordered them in restaurants a few times since- never been as good. (btw the chef said they make them in batches and freeze) Visitors have to order their food for the following day so they would just get out as many as they need. Not sure whether they cook them first?

Five weeks left - do you still want to go for 7lb?

yes - 30-40mins at 200 degrees. Just toss them in your favourite spices and enjoy! I've not made them myself before, but if it were me, I'd start with roasting half a tin - that way it'd limit how much damage I can do!
  • Hi

Was wondering if anyone could help. I come from a country where I'm used to measuring things by kilograms and not stone - can anyone please advise what 19 stone 3 & a half minus 7 pounds is in stone?

    Thanks!

    Food Diary for today:
B: 2 weetabix, few raisins. SS Milk. Warm ;)
L: 1/2 steak, one small onion. Stir fry veg. Spray oil. Soy sauce, few drops sesame oil, chilli powder. 6 chopped cherry pSolum tomatoes thrown in too to sweeten (and to use them up)
D: Ham, egg, straight to wok noodles and stir fry veg. I cooked the veg separately as it only takes a minute to cook and knew my toddler wouldn't eat that. So DS1 and DH had a fillet of SF chicken, ham&egg noodles and DH had veg. I had mostly stir fry veg. And a small portion of the noodles.
S: After dinner I had Danone Activia yogurt. Lovely pear flavour but was dismayed when I read the calorie content was more than the noodles
    Two plums, one small apple

Exercise wise- been on the go all day. Housework and the Hokey Cokey lol
