Hello ladies and any gents
Can I join please ? I have tried SW but decided I don't want to spend the rest of my days trying to make "fake" versions of meals and instead would rather control portions, be sensible etc in cooking and food choices.
Would be happy to plod along and hopefully lose around half a stone a month0 -
Work bought our lunches today....McD's!
Normally don't eat them but trying to be frugal so wasn't going to turn down a free lunch, but now wishing I had as I feel yuck and uncomfortable.
Also have visions of the scales going in the wrong direction next weigh in0 -
Being good and not having takeaway this weekend, but oh dear, having family round to eat tonight...am planning chicken curry with boiled rice and naan breads, then (I'm not sure I'm even allowed to say this on a dieting thread
) warm double choc chip muffins with gooey centres straight out of the oven, with caramel ice cream
I'm sure there would be less calories in a takeaway!
If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?0 -

I decided to do this and try one new thing a month. Also need to try and 'like' salad items (dont like raw toms, cucumber or peppers)
This month I bought some chickpeas from Al*i but haven't a clue what to do with them though :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -

Ooo I love chickpeas! You can make falafel, chickpea curry, put them through casseroles/soups, add them to chilli. I remember someone in my old SW group used to toss them in cumin and paprika, and then roast them for around half an hour. The problem with roasting them is that they become really moreish, and people used to eat a whole tin in one sitting, which obviously adds up to a lot of calories! Most people had to stop roasting them, because they ate too many of them.
I nipped to the continental supermarket today to get some spices. It was around 12.30, and I hadn't eaten anything yet, so I caved to product placement by the till and ended up buying a tray of baklava. I wish I hadn't, as I don't think it will make it beyond tonight! I do love baklava though, so at least I'll enjoy every mouthful.0
