I seem to be unable to cut down on my bread intake - it is my main weakness. Also struggling to get my 5 a day in some days and need to be more mindful of this

Spent far too long just sitting in my chair today, watching the curling at the olympics...and I'll have to do it again on Thursday and Friday :o
To counteract, I walked to the shops and was out for over an hour. Bought a top in tescos sale (size 16) but it has to go back as it's too baggy :D

Was doing really well with food today, until I made choc chip muffins (for the family, you understand) and as no-one was in, I had to test one myself :o

(think of the calories you'll use up just trying)

Have tried to "be good" today because tomorrow's Friday :)
Had family turn up for lunch...it's weird, but I always eat more when they come to eat...I think it's because my lunches are quite small and pathetic when I'm alone, and I feel I can't expect other people to eat that just because *I'm* on a diet.

So we had soup, but I only had half a roll.

Made up for it tonight by having salad (with a few chips)...I needed to choose one more thing to eat to feel I'd had enough for the day...it was a choice between an egg on my salad or a double choc chip muffin...and I chose the egg :T what came over me???

    Fingers crossed for everyone tomorrow.

  • Today
Brunch half bacon Panini and 1/3 of a pain au chocolat with a latte
    Tea WM roll and soup
S popcorn and jam doughnut

    weigh in tomorrow, eek!
  • I've officially started exercising! Made it to the pool for a swim, first time I've done more than walk places for 3 months - found it very tiring, didn't do as many lengths as I expected, but it's all a start. I'm also booked in for step, pilates and zumba over the next 4 days.

My new gym has a sauna and steam room, so I did wonder in hoping to give my fat a good sob! :rotfl: (I really like that quote summertea)

I don't think I've lost anything this week actually, but will weigh in tomorrow. Maybe the sauna magically burned 5lbs :rotfl:

Dear all please may I join you?
I joined a previous version of this thread in 2011 and I was doing great until I nearly fainted one day. Turned out I was pregnant so weight loss turned to weight gain. DS1 was a Summer baby so I did lots of walking/ pram pushing and also did Aquafit etc. Weight came off gradually and was slimmer than I had been in years 18 months later. Our second baby is now 4 months old and I am wearing clothes that fit me at 4/5 months pregnant. Been trying to be good and lost 4lb but have now regained it :(
So decided I need some like-minded folks to kick my bottom. Came on here and the chat about kicking your own made me chuckle :)
So current weight - 10 stone 7lbs. I would like to be 9 stone 3lbs- I was this weight 14 months ago so it is achievable.
Goal for the end of this thread- 10 stone.

    Been good today.
Breakfast-1/2 piece toast, lurpak lighter and jam, 2 weetabix, SS milk, a few raisins.
    Snack- pear, 3 strawberries.
Lunch- jacket potato. Filling: One small onion chopped and fried slowly in a teeny tiny drizzle of olive oil. Added 4 chopped cherry toms, tablespoon of sweetcorn, paprika, chilli powder and 1/3 tin baked beans. So tasty. Served with chopped cucumber.
    Snack: apple
Dinner: Fish filler in Batter. 1/2 tin mushy peas. 1/3 red pepper chopped. Seasoned with black pepper. No ketchup and no chips.
    Pudding- Activia Yogurt.
2016 MFW OPd £2000, 2015 MFW OPd 3000 then bought new bigger house with bigger mortgage.
    MFW OPd 2014 £2000 2013 £9700 2012 £2848.39 2011 £2509.58 2010 £11000 2009 £112002008 £4939 :D
