    TMI :rotfl:

Pleased to say that sneaky pound has disappeared again this morning :)

Does anyone else mourn their favourite "fatter" clothes?
I have 2 pairs of well known catalogue jeans which were the perfect fit, and I really liked the style of them. One pair is getting very baggy and because I've had them for a few years I can't find that style any more. Had a look on the website, and lots of the jeans seem to be straighter, with turn-ups...I don't do turn-ups, makes my little dumpy legs look even dumpier :rotfl:

I'm going to keep my eyes open for a second hand pair...but the only pair I've seen so far are a size 16, the same as the ones I have which are nearly too big...and I'm tempted to buy them! What for?! Didn't I say I'd never put this weigh back on? Hmm, to buy or not to buy...

  • Hi all,

I feel like I'm a bit late to the party but I'm in real need of some help when it comes to my weight! :(

I've been tracking my weight since May last year in the hope that it would motivate me and in all that time I only managed to put on 2lbs by yoyying up and down! My bathroom scales read in kgs and only when prompted by a friend yesterday did I convert it to stones and lbs and  it's really shocked me how much I've put on in the last few years. I'm not over weight and quite enjoy exercise so I think that's lulled me into thinking eating lots of junk isn't doing too much harm. :rotfl:

I've worked out that I'd like to lose 16lbs and whilst I don't have any deadlines, I've read that 1lbs a week is achieveable so that puts me at my target at the end of June just in time for summer (wishful thinking looking outside)

I'm perhaps niavely not planning a drastic diet but just want to eat sensibly!! No more multiple packs of crisps and choc a day, or indulging in everyone's birthday cakes in the office!! I work fairly long hours but often skip breakfast as I always get up late, oops. I'm not really into cooking but knock up a big batch of something home at the weekend. Otherwise there's not really much I can cut out, I don't drink tea or coffee, and hardly touch fizzy drinks or alcohol, likewise takeouts.

So really I only have myself and Mr Cadbury's  to blame but hopefully with a bit of support I can once and for all get into the habit of saying no! I'm a bit of a regular on the MFW board so naturally I have already got a new page on my spreadsheet and targets all ready to go..... sounds good?

Now then, how does this work... weekly weigh ins, does anyone sneek a mid-week peak? I've seen STS a bit, what does this mean? Help!!:o

Halfway the through the sun came out so I thought I'd get into the garden after painting. By the time I'd finished, you'll never guess?! Ah well, the porch looks fresh and bright

    Hi floppydisk :hello:

We do weekly weigh ins on a Friday or Saturday, and post our losses/gains here for the lovely Knit Witch to update the challenge.

STS means Stayed The Same as last week.

We have 6 weigh ins left on this challenge to take us to the end of March, so if you want to be on the list you have to say how much you want to lose in that time, or alternatively just join in with the chat...although I get the impression you'll be joining us if you're all set with a spreadsheet :)

I never used to weigh myself through the week, but I do now, I find it helps keep me on track.
My long term aim is to weigh once a week just to make sure I'm not gaining...my plan is to get to target and stay there :)

Right - I'm a bit over today, so I'm off out for a walk in the dark...the rain put me off this afternoon.

  • Welcome floppydisk!

ellie I agree! I have a couple of bits that were like that. Now they are too tight :o Last time I sort of stopped losing weight so I could still wear my pretty clothes, but I've gradually just let them get shabby to the point where, once I lose the weight again, they'll be past it enough to throw out!

I bit the bullet and joined the gym today, very excited about going along tomorrow for a swim!

Good morning. Been MIA for the last couple of days, hurt my back doing yoga and ate a lot of no-no food to compensate for the pain and frustration. Not a good idea I know. I hope today will be a sugar free day.
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

Thought i'd come and join in as i'm not managing the weight loss thing on my own :)
