    Get well soon Knit Witch!

Here is today for me, still healthy, still imperfect, but not too bad:

    B. whole oat porridge with honey and cinnamon
    S. Small rye toast with peanut butter
    L. Brie and lettuce salad, yogurt with a chopped orange, a few Brazil nuts
    S. Slice of wm toast with smearing of peanut butter and jam, 2 tbsps ice cream (working with children, it is a professional hazard!)
    D. Bowl of lentil, barley and vegetable soup, turnip greens with half slice wm bread.

    Exercise: walk then yoga class

    Good night
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

officeguru I'm doing my best to remotivate myself as well. I haven't lost anything in January, so today is day 1 yet again!
I've had builders in off and on the last few weeks, and made them lots of cups of tea, with biscuits and home baking, of course...and guess who's started eating it too :o...and I never usually bother with biscuits. It's so easy to slip back into bad habits.

At least my builders aren't permanent, you have a bigger problem with family...it's very hard to serve up food and not eat it yourself. You could leave them to serve up their own, but then mealtimes are a nice time to get together...good luck deciding what to do! I often just give DS1 a much bigger portion of the same food, or give him an extra course.

Oh I so know how you feel OH can eat & drink what the heck he likes & still has a 30" waist!! Ive tried a smaller plate or eating clear soup before we both sit to eat but I still end up eating not only what I shouldn't but large quantities of it!! Whatever happened to self control I ask myself? How can I stop smoking cold turkey, sail through dry Jan but Im unable to resist food:(

    Hi to you both....

Just thought I would let you know how I got on... I had made them mashed potatoes with fried red onions going through it (I had to use them up as they were going soft) .. Red cabbage with lashings of butter and black pepper ... together with rib eye steak topped with white stilton served with mushrooms...

I never touched a thing !!! I couldn't have the potato 'cause of the red onion... couldn't touch the cabbage 'cause it is roughage... couldn't eat the steak 'cause my son was eating mine :( (he didn't know it) so I served and waited on them and then cleaned up after them and, when they were outside chewing the fat, I had chopped egg on a slice of toast with a melted cheese slice on the top... so that wasn't too bad ....:A a lot less calories than they had shifted.. :T:T:T

Today, I went to wetherspoons with my friend... We had the eggs benedict between us (rather than one each) and a couple of cups of coffee... Unfortunately, I am going back tonight but I'll manage to watch what I am eating !!!

    Thanks for the support....

omg, I'm drooling...can I come to your house? :rotfl:

what a huge amount of willpower you must have used up, do you think you can keep it up?

I have a SIL who always serves the family but doesn't eat anything herself, she is as thin as a tooth pick. I'm not going to copy her though, she has some long standing food issues.

I have tonights meal planned...in pain so taking the easy way out, and got stuff out the freezer...shepherds pie with a little potato/turnip topping. Also have a YS garlic baguette, but better give most of that to DS1. I could eat it right now, only 4 hours to go :)

Hope you're feeling better today Knit Witch.

If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?

    Evening all

I'm having a bit of a weird evening...

I had a craving for chocolate, which I haven't eaten since the end of November. So I've opened the tin of celebra**ons I had left over and I actually think they taste awful :( they taste very sweet and sickly

There's nothing wrong with them ie they're still in date, sealed tin etc, so do you think it's possible I've actually weaned myself off the taste of cheap nasty chocolate?

I can't bear the thought of throwing them out as I never waste food or giving them away (I'm selfish :rotfl:) so I've put them in a bag in the freezer, I'll use them up in cakes/cookies etc if I have to
  • knitwitch hope your feeling better

pm2326 I would have eaten the lot just to make sure I didn't like them!
