Trying to not gain weight/even lost a tiny bit is NOT working. I am nauseous all the time and the only thing that remotely eases it is eating - it goes away while I eat and for about 15 mins after eating then comes back! I could literally eat constantly if I let myself! Doh.

Have you tried ginger?? Anything from tea to biscuits :)

Oh I remember that stage daisiegg, yuck yuck yuck!
At least you're still keeping the food down, and it's much more important to try and feel well, than to lose a few pounds right now.
Try dry rich tea biscuits, anything with ginger in, flat lemonade, those seabands you wear on your wrists...none of it worked for me, but it does for some.
Hopefully it won't last long :)

Put on my old "painting clothes" today...was quite smug as I pulled the jeans on, thinking "these will be really loose, I was about 20 pounds heavier the last time I wore them"...well, they're not loose at all, how is that possible??? Do you think my clothes are shrinking in the wardrobe? :rotfl:

Was busy today, had no time for lunch...would have liked a snack in the car, but the only shop I stopped at was the DIY place for paint, and I looked at the sweets at the checkout, and my scottish thriftiness wouldn't let me pay £1.49 for a bag of maltesers! so I did without, it didn't do me any harm :)

cheeswright, I'm cold too, I hate having to wear layers of clothes for months on end, and I'm sitting here under a big blanket, building up to taking all the layers off in a hurry before jumping into bed. My nose is icy cold. I don't do any bare skin on show between October and April :rotfl:
And yes, it makes me want to eat more of the wrong things, I had chips and curry sauce for tea tonight :o...the only thing I can say in my defence is that it was really lunch and tea combined!

Second day of not-too-bad diet. Managed to avoid late evening cheese binge by going to bed with large mug of herbal tea. Here is my day:

    B. Porridge with soya milk, cinnamon and nuts
    S. 3 digestive biscuits (but the alternative could have been worse, I resisted buying a slice of cake on my way to college)
    L. Greens, avocado and herby cheese salad, cheddar with pear
    D. Chick pea, leek, potato and Jerusalem artichoke curry, bulgur wheat, 2 tangerines.

Overall I feel I did ok, not very low carb or calorie but free of rubbish.

    Good night x
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

A STS for me this week. Not been well all week. Just a heavy cold really, but feeling pretty rough. So while food hasn't been too bad, I have done no exercise.

STS this week, not doing well at all, must be this miserable weather.
  • -1lb for me this week. Thrilled as I have a cold. How long is it going to last !!

Watched the Horizon last night. Very interesting. If you haven't watched it, I recommend. Basically, we need both sugar and fat in our diet (but then we knew that didn't we) cutting out fat and cutting out sugar do you no favours. In fact the twin on the fat diet with all the protein, was nearer to diabetes than the twin on the sugar diet.
Loved our trip to the West Coast USA. Death Valley is the place to go!
  • knit witch sorry to be a pest, but can you increase me loss to 2.5lbs this week? Thanks - sorry for extra work!

I'm sure i've only lost 1.5 lbs this week, but I realised the numbers don't add up - I started at xxst 13lbs, and i'm now xxst 2.5lbs. It's a 10.5lb total loss, where as all my weekly weigh ins add up to 9.5lbs. Will have to start writing these things down!

Unsurprisingly, 83.1 Kg for me, this is after breakfast so it might be just a bit less, but considering the amount of BAD carbs I guzzled last week it is not the end of the world. Still half a stone / 3 Kg appx to lose for my target so I still hold some hope.

It was shocking how close to diabetes he was.
The part that jumped out at me was when they were doing tests with lab rats, and when they gave them food which was a fat and sugar combination they said "the rats had no off switch"...
well now we know why we can't resist chocolate and cake!
(actually, I don't know, why does that combination of food affect us like that?)

I suppose if you have to be born as a lab rat, being one with an unlimited supply of cheesecake is a good deal :-)

Sorry, I'm a STS this week, will have to rein it in before I start going up again!
