might be interesting given the slating sugar's been getting recently.

A good day foodwise, but not much exercise.
Now sitting hemming a VERY wide pair of curtains by hand, at least it's keeping my hands too busy to eat :)

Oh I have this taped for tonights viewing! Im excited to see it.......I lead a sad life :rotfl:

  • just checked in to see if anybody had any advice..and it looks like I'm not alone..
now the cold has kicked in i'm perpetually freezing..my fingers keep going white, I cant keep my feet warm in bed - even with my big wooly extra glam socks ;)
and I cant keep moving as I have no energy..I think I'm going to have to up my calorie intake for a while.

Someone’s just lent me a copy of "new rules of lifting for women" - apparently , though I haven’t cracked it open yet - it advocates increasing calories to allow you to build muscle - whilst exercising..
dont suddenly picture me as a weightlifter here - apparently any exercise will do..but its something to do with the rate at which we loose muscle and fat together when normally dieting and that we should try to retain the muscle...I'm going to mooch through it because frankly I'm really struggling on restricted calories
but I wondered if anyone else had read it and thought it made sense or is it just more snake oil..?

Having sorted through the ff and larder I've got a real mixture of meals today...

B spoon muesli with chopped prunes, a shake of F&F to use up the 'dusty bit' at the bottom of the box, and some plain ff yogurt.
L - slice of wm with rf spread, a slice of ham and English mustard. Satsuma, apple
D - hm crispy duck rolls. I don't eat spring onions (allergic) so just cucumber and some shredded lettuce with chopped tomato.
S - fresh cream and apple cinnamon bun :o
E - 10 mins step on the stairs - they're beginning to creak again, need crank up the exercise and cut down on the food :(

Have a good rest of the day :)

Haven't read the book, but in the podcasts I listen too, we need to build muscle to lose the fat. Another good point they made, we should be eating more food but less calories. And never be hungry.

I caught Hairy Dieters last night - love their pie recipe. Genius!

    Hi
I havent read this book either but have read books along similar lines. Basically I think after the age of 30  (erm me then:eek::rotfl:) we lose something like 2% muscle each year and replace it with fat- again  as muscle uses more calories than fat the more muscle you have the more cals you burn!

I really need to get down the gym!!!!

Oh on top of my caramel bar today ive also eaten a bag of hula hoops- not very good the day before weigh in! In because im tired and cravin c*ap which I then eat and end up more tired...............I know this yet I still do it to myself **Sigh**

yup - thats it - thats me too

but not eating it also leaves you feeling like c*ap..and as for that "Ill just rustle up a healthy balenced low calorie meal"...I just cant get it together to do it..
My brain seems to think that hot cheese, pasta and caffeine should be the basic building blocks of meals February :rotfl:
    roll on some sunshine..

Trying to not gain weight/even lost a tiny bit is NOT working. I am nauseous all the time and the only thing that remotely eases it is eating - it goes away while I eat and for about 15 mins after eating then comes back! I could literally eat constantly if I let myself! Doh.
  • Ooops I've had one of those days too...I usually avoid the work tuck shop but succumbed to a Twirl, then went back for a mini kit kat! Still managed to bring the day in at only 50 calories over target so not all bad. TOM this week so so not expecting very much tomorrow ....
