Well done JackieO, you're flying ahead!
jess444 the last time I bought sugar was maybe 18 months ago, threw it out when I did a stock take last week. I cook from scratch, don't buy/eat sweets, chocolate, cakes, biscuits etc., so what can't I lose weight? In a word - Cheese! As you'll see from today's menu ;)

B - spicy fruit porridge. I make a big pot which lasts 5/6 days but never get tired of it. Note: No sugar added, the dried fruit and cinnamon make it sweet enough
L - not feeling hungry today so have just had a slice of hm bread toasted with rf cheese
D - No time as I'm going out, might have a crackerbread with vegemite when I get back. Or not.
S - satsuma, carrot batons, handful of nuts.

Accept that there is natural sugar in the above but natural isn't (quite) as bad for me as refined.

Enjoy the rest of the day :)

Been poorlier than poorly here and on Monday I was diagnosed with gastro oesophageal reflux disease. So probably best I eat a simple diet and get round to losing those 2 stones!

(Seems diet has little to do with it but a bit of weight loss might help).

Anyway, today I have eaten/will eat:

    shreddies with soya milk

HM soup (mainly carrot and kale) and 2 slices of HM bread

sausage and baked bean hotpot with sliced potato on top
    apple crumble and custard

    Had another good day today

    B: muesli, ss milk
L: cheese toastie (more cheese sparrer, not had cheese for weeks :))
D: ham salad, microwave chips, and angel delight as a treat as I had a friend round...she said she really enjoyed the salad :)

I've *still* not lost anything, still the same weight as xmas eve.
I even went for a walk in the rain today, so I won't be impressed if I don't lose anything this week!

I wonder if our bodies just get used to us eating a certain amount, and settle at that? That's not very scientific, is it? :rotfl: All I know is I'm eating low cal and not shifting anything!

If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?

I found that I have bought very little sugar. I use sugar only for making bread, one teaspoon at a time. If I start making cakes it will increase but overall I am still doing well.

Not doing too badly with food but I don't seem to be getting much exercise.....my pedometer only reads 6500 steps, if it was light outside I'd go for a walk (or perhaps I'm just making excuses lol :) )

    B-1 Weetabix with ss milk
    L-carrot &ginger soup
D- spag bol with veg......smaller portion than I would normally have.

Yesterday DS bought Cherry bakewells, which were so hard to resist, they are 200 cals each! No wonder I put on weight easily as I'd usually think nothing of eating 2 of them. Instead I had a small bowl of cinnamon porridge at around 170 cals as I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep otherwise.
