I have tried it and whilst I can manage a fairly low calorie diet, I find that to eat only 500 means either eating tiny amounts or eating most of the calories in one go which means a long time in between without food. I have tried it twice and both times it set off my IBS quite badly - could be a coincidence though. I will say it was quite easy to stay motivated knowing you could eat normally the next day, but as soon as I ate normally the next day, tummy was off. In laws have done it though and lost a fair bit of weight

    Today I have had
    B wholemeal toast
L HM soup with wholemeal bread
T roast chicken, stuffing, 2 roast potatoes and plenty of veg
    S fruit and yog

    Hello,

Can I join you, really want to make an effort to lose weight this year.

I have a christening the end of April and most importantly my son's Holy Communion Mid May,I really want to be able to get some nice dresses and not be worried about getting my picture taken! Also going on holiday in September.

Tried to weigh myself last night, and my salter digital scales are broken! Damn,I am going to replace them with old style scales.

    I am guessing I weigh about 14st 8lbs and I'm only 5ft 3inches,so not good!

    Breakfast-Missed today-Whoops
    Lunch-Pasta
    Tea-Savoury Rice

Snacks-Chomp bar with cup of tea

Have drank lots of water today, walked to my sons school 1.2 miles also did my 1st day of Jillian Michaels 30 day shred level 1! Wow! Hard work!

I am also on to day 9 without any alcohol, which is quite good for me!

  • Having a bottomless hunger day today, and I'm trying to resist the urge to cook a second dinner... Though I had a really positive day today, I stopped at a service station and didn't fancy any of their junk as it's not particularly wholesome. Here's hoping it's an attitude that sticks!

I use those ultra cheap instant noodles when that happens, low in calories as well. They only have 260 calories per pack.
It's really easy to default to cynicism these days, since you are almost always certain to be right.

Thanks - I forget about those. I don't buy them often, because they don't last long! I dug into some wheat crackers with a little bit of cream cheese and had a cup of herbal tea, I thought it would tick of a few boxes of what could be making me feel so hungry.
