  • Hi knitwitch

My in-laws lives are starting to get sorted out... I am going to be selfish and start putting myself first !!!

I am missing the forum and I am scared that I put on all the weight I have taken off.. I know with the recent stressful time and Christmas, I have put on some pounds... :( but I am determined to keep losing the weight... I want to be slim before I get boxed !!!! (I am not planning to shake off this mortal coil for a few years yet.. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I can't do it on my own so I want to join the weigh-in this weekend, if that's ok... I am going to be like Cambodia... This is the week zero.. a new start... a new day .... a new dawn ... Is that in the right order ????? :) I would like to lose approx 2 lbs a week as a goal... (starting from today) so maybe you could work out how much that is as I am not sure when this challenge started... x

    Regards to all
  • kezlou I'm not surprised you're sick of the sight of crackers! I'd recommend you eat more, but make it all healthier.

I found it difficult to cut back on bread/pasta (and rice/potatoes) too, I tried a couple of days carb free to force me to find alternatives, which was really useful. Tonight I'm having orange roasted chicken with nutmeg cabbage. Before that would have been orange chicken with rice, and I would have panic added some peas to make it look healthier. I'm rubbish with calories, but assume I'm saving a few hundred this way!

Good to see you back officeguru - we are on the first weekend of weigh ins - so 11 weeks to go! if you go for 2 lbs that would be a target of 22lbs, let me know if you want to go for that or a different target :D
    Must use my stash up!
  • Hi, everyone has done so well. Well done!

I weighed in this morning and I lost 3lb. I'm really pleased with that but I am finding the weekend so hard. During the week I take my caloriie counted lunch and snacks and get on with it. At home at the weekend there are lots of temptations. I had apiece of christmas cake earlier so I cannot have anything else today other than dinner and one cup of tea.
Grocery challenge: dec 294/280, January 250/250, February 168/200:T march 258/260

Bad day yesterday, went over by more than 200 calories, but overall for the week I am still under and I've done much better today. The sun was shining this morning, although quite cold, so we went for our planned walk. We were out for about 2 hours (including a stop for a coffee and a cereal bar at the cafe in the park), and according to my tracker app I burned 364 calories. The best news is that the roses are finished, lol! Still have a chocolate orange and some after eights, but they will be eaten gradually.

    Today:-

B bran flakes with sultanas, banana and semi skimmed milk
L oxtail soup with 2 slices of bread
D leftover turkey from the freezer with roast potatoes and veggies
    S 2 special k cereal bars, 2 roses chocs
    E 95 minutes of walking
    Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs

Hi long time since i have posted in here but been healthy eating for nearly a week now and have not touched any chocolate/sugar piled foods and fizzy juice since then :D

Drinking 4-5 cups of water a day and also using myfitnesspal to keep track of what i am eating and my progress, i struggled the first few days as was always hungry and was having constant headaches but now feel great and have loads more energy, do not crave anything bad at all.

My son made a big plateful of brownies yesterday and wasnt tempted at all by them :j

I have a lot of weight to lose and have a holiday coming up in october and would love to lose 2 stone by then, i have 6 to lose in total :o

Had spaghetti with homemade ragu sauce tonight, thought it was ok but kids weren't impressed :( this week i have made beef casserole and fruity pork stew, searching later on for some recipes for the week coming to inspire everyone.

Weighing in tomorrow so excited to see if i have lost anything, well done those who have lost and sts and good luck to everyone else :T
