cheesewright why hopeless? I lost nothing but I will, we can't all lose masses every week. The 'big' losers will have sts weeks, or at least slow down, so never give in. You don't have to have huge meals at the birthday dinners, just eat til you've had enough then stop. You're not going to offend anyone if you leave something on your plate(unless you're in China ;))

Thank you for the encouraging words. My issue is lack of exercise, pure and simple. I'm sedentary 80% of my time, do some sitting/breathing exercises but I need to move all of me! No so easy sometimes but that would be the solution. If I make excuses to myself I'm only kidding me, y'all don't think of what everyone else is doing as you're quite rightly focused on your own efforts. At the weekend I usually allow myself whatever I want and I certainly did that for tea today :o

    B - spicy fruity porridge
D mug of tomato soup - the real 57 one :)
T - I baked a loaf this afternoon - bad idea. Had 4 half-slices with butter, cheese, vegemite, marmalade and plain. My stomach is so bloated it's obscuring my feet
S satsuma, 1/4 pineapple, handful nuts

Amazing 5+ stones! Well done everyone :T

Sorry - I haven't had a chance to get on the board at all today.

I weighed myself this morning and I've lost 1lb!

Probably not because my target is pretty lax and I am slowly getting there one way or another. I am following the old style diet of making it all myself but really not trying weight loss diets. All I do is portion control.
It's really easy to default to cynicism these days, since you are almost always certain to be right.

    Evening all

Wow to the loss this week-well done everyone
I have literally been on the go all day and am shattered now!! Got up at 8am and did 30 day shred, showered n had breakfast then i made a cottage pie (hairy bikers diet book) and two lots of soup, washed up twice, helped OH put in 3 new fence panels, took the dog out for an hour walk over the local hills then popped to sainsbugs for a few bits and pieces, had tea, another shower and have just sat down! Hope ive burned loads of cals :rotfl:

    Today

B: 2 wholemeal med bread, peanut butter & banana
L: 1 wholemeal bread & cheese toasted, small penguin type choc
S: 1 satsuma, couple jelly sweets, 1/2 slice bread with butter
T: Chicken n chickpea curry (HM but out of a jar!) 2 flat breads, 1 bottle san miguel

Later i will have a couple of white rum and diet cokes and a snack of hummous & celery

Does anyone have a good veg soup receipe?

Everyone ive tried lately uses lots of carrots/parsnips/butter nut squash and ends up too sweet- i just want a standard veg soup thats not sweet so maybe one with leeks/cabbage etc etc

    Thanks :)
