I've done really well today, especially ignoring all the chocolates in the naughty cupboard at work after my colleague left. Then OH met me from work (as he finished at 4 and I was working until 6), and confessed that he'd 'had a bit of a moment', lol, then he explained that he'd opened the roses chocs while he was home alone !
I know they need to be eaten, but while they were sealed they were not such a temptation, now they will be tempting me all day on Friday as I'm not working (tomorrow will be ok as I'm working all day), that's of course if they don't get eaten before then, lol! I must confess I have just had 1, and I also had a can of pear cider with my dinner, but I am still under my calorie goal so it's not too bad.
B special k oats and honey with semi skimmed milk
L ham sandwich
D quick fry steak (grilled) with oven chips, peas and gravy
S 1 satsuma, Mr A vitality cereal bar, 1 roses choc

Well done so far everyone!
Sue14 I know what you mean about sealed vs open tubs of chocs. They'd be calling me. I put the Mars bars hubby bought in the freezer recently so I wouldn't be tempted......I wonder if that would work with the Roses. At least they'd take longer to eat
L- hm carrot and ginger soup
D-lentil and veg stew with 1 fishfinger in 1 slice of wholemeal bread with ketchup
S-2 mini party rings, slices of cauliflower grilled on George F
Drinks- 3 decaf coffees with milk, lots of tea with milk
I've got tuna salad for lunch tomorrow as I'm sick of the soup now. And Im planning to eat the same as the rest of the family for the next few days (as have nothing else 'diety' in until I get a food shop) but will be careful with portion sizes/carbs/mayo etc0 -
Not a food day today, sadly I lost my little boy cat after a very short illness which took his sister 8 months ago, so food isn't really on my mind. I had a satsuma and a couple of spoonfuls of Greek yogurt which will do to keep the wolf from the door until I'm hungry again.
Just made a pan of spicy, fruity porridge which I love so maybe I'll feel like some for breakfast.
Sweet dreams0 -
Just checking, is this your official weigh in?
Not sure, do we post our weight weekly, and if so on what day? Getting mixed up, I am used to posting my weight on a Wed on the Weight Loss forum0 -
Well done Jess & do you spread the peanut butter on apple slices?
Yep, best with crunchy peanut butter IMO, saw it on Pinterest under healthy snacks.0 -
Sorry about your little cat sparrer
I went into the kitchen this morning to get breakfast, and before I could change my mind, I took the rest of the chocolates and threw them in the bin, and then straight to the outside bin.
I've got to take this more seriously or I won't lose anything, and I know that even another half stone off will make a big difference.
Sue14, you could always seal the tin back up again, make it harder to get the sweeties out.
Go on, get the sellotape out...and don't tell your OH, have him wondering what's going on...every time he goes for a sweet, the tin's resealed itself :rotfl:
If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?0 -

Good morning everyone. May I join you all please? I did weigh myself last Friday (4th) so could post a first update tomorrow and slip in. I've just dithered this week about joining , probably because it represents some accountability. But what have I got to lose apart from the obvious.
I'm a long time lurker and not new to MSE, just here with a different name after an absence. Not for any juicy reason but things just change don't they.
Anyway, my main issue is portions and just being a piggy. Savoury nibbles with an evening drinky has also been rather damaging. Thankfully there's only Christmas cake left but I don't have that much of a sweet tooth, it was the cheese biscuits that did for me!
So, I would like to drop 14lbs for this challenge. I aim to do this by eating less and moving more. They make it sound so easy.
Thank you.
Sparrer, so sorry about your cat. Losing a pet is horrid.:(0 -
First_Trouble wrote: »Enough is enough I weighed myself last week and came in at a staggering 11st 7lbs. I'm only 5ft and my GP says I need to be around 8st - 8st 7lbs for a healthy weight.
I had already started before I stumbled across this thread and would like to join this challenge for some support in the months that come. I think 14lbs should be achievable.
So far today I have had
B: Porridge w/ss milk and 2tbsps sugar and a coffee
L: 2 slices white toast with butter and Beans
S: third of a fresh pineapple and a fennel teaChinese Fakeaway (Chicken Chow Mein, Chinese Chicken Balls and Egg Fried Rice)
my vows are
* swap all my work day coffees for herbal teas (we have a coffee vending machine and I can't track the hidden nasties so easier to avoid)
* drinking at least 2ltrs of water or sugar free squash a day.
* I tend to eat too big portions so will definitely reduce these maybe by using a smaller plate as I find it extremely difficult not to empty the plate no matter how much food has been put on it.
*Also make healthier fakeaways rather than get takeaways
*Eat more fruit and vegetables
* Using MyFitnessPal keep around 1200 - 1400kcals
Okay got you added to the list and welcome to less of you!Must use my stash up!0
